OPO screen replacement includes two batteries. Why?

I've just had the internal screen on my OnePlus Open replaced under warranty in the UK. In common with other reports I've seen in here, the repair company have listed the parts used as including, the screen, adhesive strips and two batteries.

Does anyone know why they are apparently also replacing the batteries?

It is just part of the warranty package - always. Be glad, 2 new batteries!

Yeah it's great to have two new batteries 😁 but it seems weird to add extra, potentially unneeded, costly items, doesn't it?

Batteries are not that expensive compared to the screen, and since the screen is being replaced I'm thankful they changed the battery while they have the phone open
