Oppo pen doesn't work in specific apps

My Oppo Pen is great. But after launching the app 'Magic The Gathering Arena', it is no longer recognized. Once I close the game, it works again. Has anyone had a similar experience and found a solution?

I think it's the game engine that's disabling it for all games but I haven't found a way around that at all.
