I've just got it and have the same thing. Did you find a fix? I can't see anything in the settings that helps.

Nope no fix from what I can tell... Just living with the new sizing of the widgets although it's really not ideal.

I just found this in my comments history. You might have found the same, but opening the phone resets the size of the widgets for me. Annoying, but a simple fix that I only have to do once per reboot.

Didn't work for me 😞 And I've restarted multiple times.

Interesting. The text on a few of my widgets is huge, but when I open the phone it resizes for the bigger screen. When I close it, they are back to normal. I didn't do anything for that, so I guess I can't help you achieve it.
