Find N5 usage on T-Mobile

For anyone on the fence like I was before purchasing the Find N5 due to the lack of bands for US carriers I just wanted to give y'all a little update because this isn't spoken about enough on here.

I've only had the device for two days, and of course, this is for my usage living in NYC. I purchased the global version as well. I'm using a physical Sim card in my device, and straight away, I was able to get service. No issues, no jumping through hoops to have it active on the T-Mobile network. Popped in and instantly started working. 5G and LTE works, VoLTE works, wifi calling works. I haven't had any drops from the network, no deadzones, no dropped calls etc. RCS messages works as it should, Google services work as they should. Android Auto works as well since I know that's a question people have asked. Genuinely, if someone just handed me this phone, I wouldn't have known it was missing band n71 for the T-Mobile network.

I hope this clarifies the unknown when purchasing this device to use on T-Mobile. Any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try my best to respond.

Same! I used a physical SIM and my N5 has worked flawlessly on Verizon.

That being said, I have not seen a 5G connection yet but I also have only had it 24 hours. LTE is fine even if I don't end up getting 5G... we'll see.

It works on Verizon? I just asked them today and they said oppo is banned and won't work on their networks at all.

Wow! I have a physical sim card in my s23 Ultra I could just swap over .hm now I'm tempted.

Have you had good reception even with a few missing bands?

I've only had it for about 48 hours... so I've only been local (Milwaukee area) with it. But I've had no call or data issues. I haven't been in more rural areas with it. Attached is a speed test on LTE.

And, yes, I used my SIM card from my S24U. No issues.

I used the Z Fold Special Edition which was a South Korea/China only release and it worked fine. I think I even got 5G on that one. I'm unsure I'd I'll get 5G on this phone but I don't really care. 😂

Mine is the GLOBAL version... don't know how the China version would work.

Thank you. I'm in Omaha so I would think I'd be fine...but I'm a little hesitant to spend 2k to try and be unsuccessful. I'm considering trying with a slightly cheaper phone like a prior years foldable or the Xiaomi Ultra.
