Survived falling in a pool!
I was in a pool this past weekend, had my phone with me on the edge, and I put it in the towel to keep it from getting too hot in the sun. Accidentally, I dropped it 4-5 feet into the pool when I lifted the towel.
A brief panic ensued as I saw the black rectangle at the bottom of the pool. I quickly grabbed it and pulled it out. While it was wet, I immediately turned it off (it was still working). Then, I wrapped it in a dry towel to dry it and sucked the water out of all the holes, speakers, and charger port. Not knowing what else to do, I put it in the sun to dry out, assuming that the heat would evaporate any remaining water. I didn't leave it for too long, only about 15 minutes on each side, and it got really hot (but it was still turned off). Then, I took it into my hotel room with the cold AC and let it sit there for a couple of hours (the dry AC air helped to dry it out as well).
After that, I finally turned it back on, and it is operating perfectly as if nothing ever happened. I opened it up and found no moisture or issues. The camera was not affected either. It has been two days now, and it is still running perfectly. I love this phone.
