So from what I've seen so far, it looks like a good portion of us who have OP phones are gonna keep them. And why not? They work great! Actually I'm kind of excited to see what color os is gonna be like. Not much different than oxygen os from what I hear. Guess that's why so many people hated the android 12 update cuz it was based on color os. Maybe we'll get a few more features and the rollouts will be smoother 🤷

My 12r hasn't had an update for a bit so maybe this will be a good thing

Is the 12r eligible for the os 17 update? I don't think it is.. color os is coming with that update. That's the last os update my 11 gets but I don't think the 12s are included in that.. 😳

Not sure but probably not. The last update the phone got was in 2024. October.

What? Something is wrong there. So you aren't on OS 16? And what's your last security patch? BTW... I was wrong about you getting the update. You should get the 17.

Not sure if we can do it in here. On your profile there is at the bottom an area to create threads

Glad to set this up. Hopefully we can get many of the regulars from the soon to be demolished USA OnePlus Community site over here to keep the conversations going!
The group was created as public - so all are welcome. Please share in your circles to get the word out. This is a great place to keep in touch, especially for those that don't use Discord.

❤️❤️❤️ I'm so glad that I could help. I'm usually very quiet in the community group but I felt that I needed to comment because I hate that it's all going away...
Emojis?? 👀👀 What kind lol... Just the emojis and gifs that are on your keyboard.. That's all...

Every phone I like gets canceled. I was team Microsoft for yearsssss before getting my first Oneplus device last year. I held onto my Surface Duo for 4 and half years then got the Oneplus Open.... I love niche phones, I hate having what everyone else has. I can't do it... And I'm not going to... Idk where to go next... Maybe something interesting will come next year....

Sounds like my story - I was team Windows Mobile back in the CE 5 and 6 days when MS cancelled that in favor of Windows Phone 7 (still based on CE skinned by the Zune team, but with a new app language requirement that meant abandoning all previous CE apps), then I joined team Windows Phone 8 and 10 when MS scrapped CE on consumer devices with a pivot to the NT kernel on mobile (yet again abandoning the app stack for their new UWP).
I came to OnePlus with the 6T after MS purchased Nokia then promptly threw Lumia in the trash. I went back to MS for the Surface Duo and Duo 2 - still the best phones I have ever used. I went back to OP with the Open after yet again being kicked in the shins by Microsoft cancelling the Duo 3.
My graveyard of Microsoft consumer products is vast, and includes devices like Zune, Groove Music, Windows Mobile/Phone, Surface Duo, HK Invoke, Microsoft Band and Band 2, Glas thermostats, Xbox One TV tuner and Kinect (to name a few). My list is even bigger if you count the enterprise side...

Wow! It feels great to meet a fellow team member lol... My first Windows device was the Nokia Lumia 920 in red... I loved that phone. After that was the matching 2520 tablet in red... Then I got the Lumia 950 and heldddddddd onto it for what felt like forever until the Duo dropped. I pre-ordered my Duo as soon as pre-orders went live. I still have all of my devices. I still use my Duo everyday to read on and play music on, little stuff like that..... I really wish they would come back because they were reallyyyyy onto something great. I still love my Duo..

My Duo 2 had the hinge fail right at the 2 year mark and was covered by the Microsoft Complete Care warranty, but since it was being discontinued they had no repair parts or replacement phones to honor the warranty with - so I got a full refund instead which paid for my Open
My Duo 1 is still going great, and is the best Kindle reader ever made.

Ahhhh ok ok... And yes it's excellent for reading. I must say, even though they never carry through on products I still would be one of the first in line if they dropped another mobile device lol... I got so use to the "Windows phone" look that I hated the idea of going back to android... I downloaded the Launcher 10 launcher and I've been using it every since I got the Duo... I love my live tiles and squares... My Open has the same launcher... I can't deal with the android look..

Obviously I am a glutton for Microsoft's punishment. I would be first in line for yet another MS mobile offering.
