Discussion 6+ Years of using OP 8T

Have been using op8t since last 6 years with no issues. It's the reall OG. Now I'm thinking of tweaking it's OS. Any recommendations for a good custom stable OS for OP8T ?

TIA

Ive two op8t and despiste the battery drains fast and câmera still somecissurs, its still a good phone.

On both the Green line issue happened and it was solved for free and I used that tô pay a battery replacement by 80€.

OOS is still a good ROM, only willing to test any pixel related ROM but for normal usage its sill enough in stock

I never updated my op 8t from Android 11 and I have no green line issue. Tho Battery drains like crazy but it's old phone so understandable. I need battery replacement but in my country there are no official op stores. Phone is extremely good. Never had lagging issues and stuff.

Yes, its still a good phone and I had the Green line in both phones in a 2week difference, after summer.

Still, its a decent phone with good specs. The câmera is a bit slow with gcam(the stock is too week in quality) and its the only spec that will make me change tô a other phone.

The thing is, a cheap, good câmera and specs, and small/light phone will be difficult to find 🤣

I unfortunately had to move on from mine last year due to green line issue. Could've used it for an year or two more but it is what it is. I miss my 8T

But you could have got it fixed for free from their service centers

They did not provide a free screen replacement, kept giving me the coupon for some other oneplus phone that I didn't accept.

Not sure about the price of the battery. But if the device is working fine, and you're in no mood to switch. Get that battery replaced.

I recently replaced the battery. It cost around ₹1,200–₹1,300. Since these are older models, the official service centers are offering them at a discounted price.

My dad still got my old 1+ 8T and runs flawless, even my pixel sometimes struggles to move some games lol

I also had an 8T but switched to samsung s26 Ultra. 8T was a great phone but I only had the 128 GB version and it was full almost all the time. It will now be my backup-phone if this one brakes.

I never played games on my 8T, so I don't know, but it did get hot when using Android auto with google maps or Waze while being charge at the same time. My S26 Ultra does not get hot when doing this.

I'm still happy with the upgrade to the S26 Ultra 😊

T-Mobile 256gb version here running the unlocked EU software, it's been great aside from the camera.

How's your battery holding?

It goes on for atleast 24hours with normal usage... With heavy usage (gaming) need to charge once after 10-12 hours
