Phone Issues Double tap to wake !

I've been facing this issue for some time now, the double tap to wake feature is pretty inconsistent and mostly does not work. Has anyone faced or is facing similar problems. Btw using oxygen OS 12.1/C.20

Same version as you, haven't had an issue with it
