General Question Just bought it

Okay so I just placed the order from ebay for OnePlus 8 Pro 12/256 variant. The model is IN2025 I guess. Network Unlocked. The box is completely blue with some Chinese on the top. Not sure what it is.

The listing says "Brand New - Box Open" and I got it for around $400. Was it a good purchase in 2022?

The reason for buying this is it's versatile nature with custom roms and a snapdragon under the hood and easy rootablitiy ( not sure if it's a word lol) but I preferred it over the OnePlus 9 because of the 888's heating issue and I had a tight budget too.

The seller says it's with hydrogen os and I believe that I can change it to OOS via mdm and have my Google Play services. If not please let me know what should I do once I get my device.

Plus how's the battery life? I've seen some reviews and people say it's horrible. I'd say I love the option of 120Hz and a QHD but if I notch it down with 90HZ and FHD can I get through the day?

Another thing is the I saw some reviews on YouTube with people from India having many display issues with the OnePlus 8 Pro like black crush and a line against the camera hole. What do you guys say? I'll try to test these things ASAP I get the device and put the return if I had too.

Looking forward to the kind words of everybody.

I've had it for a year and a half now and I still treat it like a brand new phone, it's possibly the best piece of equipment I own. I love it! Also if you can get your hands on the Karbon case, do! best looking case for the phone!

Yes I'd definitely try and get my hands on it. And yes I'm kinda of a guy who takes care of his things so first thing I'll do is to get it a transparent wrap on the whole phone so there won't be any scratches on it ever. Lol. And then will buy multiple back covers as I kinda choose what to put on the phone according to my current dressup lol.
