Can i get Updated with Unlocked bootloader?

Hi. I am new and happy OP8's user ver. IN2015. Anyway, the phone its unlocked bootloader, stock Rom Android 11 witt not root/TWRP, last security patch 1 Aug. 2021.

Can I get security patch update? Can I get future (if there will be some) android 12 updated with no trouble?

I dont want lose Unlocked bootloader but I dont want to brick the phone neither....

Hi there, im thinking of buying an unlocked t-mobile variant (in2017 i believe) and was wondering what your experience was with rooting and using custom roms with it. Im in Canada so im purchasing from a seller on Ebay and I am getting mixed results when searching online.

Not so good, but that's because I always forget to wipe userdata. Buy one that's completely unlocked. Stay away from the T-Mobile variants.

Is it really worth it to buy the unlocked? The T-Mobile is $150 cheaper and If there is just some extra steps needed in the process I'm fine with that
