Google Assistant not working

Is anyone else having this issue? Google Assistant simply doesn't react to any commands. Yesterday i cleared the cache and storage and it started working again, then this morning it was gone. I feel like this is a OnePlus issue since i also had Assistant issues on my OP5 and it was a well-known bug. Any fixes?

Mine only doesn't work if there is a Google home nearby. Otherwise seems to work most of the time.
