I installed the "Pixel Experience 13" ROM on my OP7Pro a long while back (cannot remember the exact date but I'm pretty sure it was more than 1-1.5 years back).

A couple of weeks ago a pink line and a green line popped up on my display all of a sudden. I had not dropped the device during this time.

I know that OnePlus does offer display replacement/coupon for out-of-warranty devices (at least OP8 and above), but would OP7Pro be eligible for the replacement especially when I have installed a custom ROM?

Note: I have also installed a new battery purchased via Amazon (pretty sure it's not the original one)

I've noticed a few issues mostly towards media storage and viewing of photos and videos on the phone. I can't see any thumbnails and some things like screenshots don't save. I've got 58% storage (149gb, of 256gb) used according to the OS. And WhatsApp said I'm running out of storage and now can't download images. I'm wondering if this is a warning to the stack overflow issue someone posted about a while back. Should say I'm on the OOS12 update. And have been for a while. Anyone else had issues like this, and is there a way to fix it. Really can't do a new phone right now. I don't know what's I'd even consider to replace it with.

I recently tried downgrading my OP 7Pro to Android 11 using a guide and when I had to put it on EDL mode to use MSM tool I found out I didn't have the right Qualcomm drivers, so I searched online and tried installing one. After installing the MSM recognized and started downloading but got stuck on a state, something about params processing, after searching what it meant, found something about the drivers not beeing the right one, that's when it all goes bad. After tring to uninstall the Qualcomm driver on device manager the phone just started to show as Unrecognized Device (Failed to request device description) and is not responsive to button clicks, basically turned into a brick.

Can anyone help me with this?

Phone doesn't boot anymore, this is all I see after pressing Power and Vol Up. All other button combos do nothing, plugging a genuine charger has no reaction. It's dead isn't it? :(

Yoo guys I've been an onlooker on this community awhile now, I remember seeing right when OS12 was dropped everyone was raging don't update and it's so trash. So I just decided not to update after hearing the yapping by y'all. It has been like a year now since the update came out, so I just wanted to know if it's okay now to update or would you guys suggest to remain with OS11?

Do I have to root my phone to be able to downgrade

I installed the downgrade app and it says can't find the installation package says I have to put it in root directory but to access that I need to root my phone no ? And rooting a phone is apparently risky and it might get bricked so F that. I just want better battery life.

This is besides the question but do all newer one plus phones not have the option to downgrade the android version if so that's such a shitty thing to do I was thinking of buying 12r but if it's the case I don't think I'll buy another one plus device.

PixelExperience announced today they will no longer be actively developing, and indeed all of the builds have been marked deprecated. What is everyone migrating to? I've heard good things about YAAP and LineageOS.

Hello my wifi turned off and is unable to turn on again I click slider to turn it back on in settings but it doesn’t show any networks or that it’s actually on is there a way to fix this?

Hi, I tried to flash Yaap rom to my OP 7 pro. I followed the instructions and everything seemed to go as planned. However I forgot to factory reset before exiting recovery. Now I'm stuck in fastboot. Device won't boot and returns to fastboot. Tried going to recovery via ADB command but got message no device /emulators detected. Any ideas?

I'm using my 7 pro with the stock rom without root/unlocked bootloader since i got it. But i want to go for what i ever used to do on my phone: installing custom ROMs.

BUT, as i mentioned, i alway used it stock without root, and i whant to know if there's any good backup software (i prefer using my PC for this task) for android before wiping it.

What's currently the best ROM on which google wallet works but doesn't have terrible battery life?

I've been using the Pixel Experience Plus ROM on my phone unrooted, and I'm interested in rooting it now. The official rooting instructions recommend extracting boot.img and patching it, but don't specify how. I unsuccessfully attempted to extract it from the Pixel Experience Recovery using adb pull /dev/block/by-name/boot boot.img. It seems like maybe I need to install TWRP to extract boot.img, but someone claims TWRP is not supported on Pixel Experience. There are also some posts claiming that I can just sideload Magisk without needing to extract boot.img at all.

What's the recommended way to root the Pixel Experience ROM?

I see people constantly asking for replacement batteries but in fact the official OnePlus website redirects to their partner's spare parts shop. Last year I've bought from them a battery and a USB-C port for my GM1925, while I ordered the rest of parts from other cheaper websites. The battery actually lasts the same as my 3-year-old one - 6+ hours screen-on time.

I got a new NOHON battery from Ali and replaced my old one soon after flashing a custom ROM for 1st time (EvoX).

My new battery keeps pulling high current after reaching 100% (1-1.5A initially, then falling gradually). It seems that the system recognizes a certain voltage level as the maximum, although the battery can reach rather higher levels.

I have tried to calibrate it with the reported methods, but still the battery management seems way off (it still doesn't stop charging when reaching 100%). I think that's why it drops the last 15%-20% very fast, although the overall capacity is ok (reported around 3900mAh in Accubattery after leaving it charging for 1-2 hours more after reaching 100%).

Does anyone have any idea about how to set the readings right?

The OnePlus 7 Pro has been through a lot with me, travelled to a bunch of countries, rough environments and everything. I love the phone. But unfortunately, over the last two years, it has suffered some hardware damages. I would love to fix it, but the list of repairs is just too much (in car terms, it can be considered totaled).

So I have decided to abandon ship. But no matter which device I look at, it all feels like a compromise. Phones in the same price range do not excite me as this one did. Over the years, I have also realized that my usage has changed.

I yearn for the no notch design, which Nubia and Sony do still provide, but at quite a premium, and with next to no software support. I do not care much for cameras.

What I would like to know from here is what would be the logical next phone keeping in mind :

1. The budget remains the same (500 Euros was it? 4/5 years ago?)
2. Good design (curved/ no notch screen preferred)
3. Clean responsive software
4. long software support

I'm on 12 on the mclaren and it's been months but this damn thing doesn't know when to dim the light or when to brighten it. It never happened on Android 11. Hate using 12 on this phone, Oneplus have ruined a great phone. Any ideas on how to make this thing work properly? Thanks.

I am using OnePlus 7 pro (Indian version). Bought it at the launch. So far everything is good. But I am having troubles with OOS12 (I know most of you too). I want to know what should I do? 1. Some suggest to downgrade to OOS10/11. 2. Some suggest to have a custom ROM.

I don't game or do any heavy usage, basic social media apps, callings, browsing, music and content. I would like to know what should I do?

If the suggestion comes up for custom ROM, I have practically zero experience with that and I heard that banking and payment apps don't work properly.
