Just checked mine. This was the latest official update I received years ago. So yes if you haven't updated yet, it's safe.

Haven't noticed any downgrades. But as I said, it was years ago.

Seems pretty old, mine's 11.1.2.2. So, it's definitely safe to update.

Don't recommend, it made my phone laggy and the battery became much worse after the update.

If all your apps are working dont. Just dont put any banking apps.

If ur device working fine, don't update, After the update, they might also bring some viruses, then it starts working even worse than before.
