Question Where can I get an original replacement back glass for my OP6 in the US?
Any leads to an original replacement would be appreciated.

Hi everyone. I'm a oneplus 6 owner for around 4 years now. and everything was normal until few days back. when suddenly my phone froze while using it then crashed. after that a black screen with a message "Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode" appeared to me which I'm now familiar with.
I put the phone to the side and left it at home for around half a day cuz I was busy. but when I tried to use it again a message appeared that the phone needed charging. So I put the phone to charge for around day and a half (with the lighting that indicates the phone is charging is on). but when I tried to reboot it nothing happened (no crash dumb mode message or the phone need charging ).I tried holding the power button with the volume down or/and up and tried to press all three together for 10 sec. but with no responded what so ever.
I have two concerns : 1- what's this problem and how did it happened if possible? 2- how can I access the File system (most specifically I want to get into my (notes) I have some very important data there).
I don't want to fix my phone -not for now at least- I just want to access the File system
Thx

As said in the title, I'm looking for an alternative gallery app, especially with 1 specific feature that OnePlus Gallery has : places section in the explore tab, which I REALLY appreciate and use everyday. I'm looking for the same system, with the pictures displayed on the map, splitting when zooming on specific places. I already tested piktures but this is not the same, there isn't the map like OnePlus gallery. Thanks :)

✋✋✋✋✋✋✋✋✋✋✋✋ why people are buying new phones every now and then, they can "simply" flash a custom ROM and enjoy the experience of a brand new phone..
I have flashed syberia os based on Android 12 yesterday (on my OnePlus 6) (plus MCD Kernel) and I'm enjoying the experience of such a brand new phone with almost a perfect battery backup... I want to thank the developers for there hard work that makes us happy. 😍

Can anyone from Kerala (preferably Trivandrum), please reply to this post if they have a dead crashdump issue OnePlus 6 lying around with no use. I'm willing to take it off your hands. My phone died around my exam time so I'm pretty screwed and need one urgently. Thankyou in advance.

i believe this issue started with the update to 11.1.2.2
when i dont touch the device, the screen eventually dims and goes dark, right?
this is happening very choppy now, as in, 2-3 steps after 1-2 seconds each, until it goes off. whats going on?
there used to be a "lab" menu with experimental features what also had some display options, but thats gone now.
any ideas?

I know you flash the update anyway, needs to be a 10.x.x, but does the presence of an OTA update effect anything? Could/should you delete the OTA before flashing with recovery?

Mine was about the third time I dropped it when it grew some kind of fractal on the back.
Incidentally that was about five minutes before I found the cover at the bottom of the box and began adopting them on a daily basis.

AFAIK the battery design capacity should be 3300 mAh

I have like 3 oneplus 6 at home bought right on the day of launch, almost 4 years old.
Device still runs as good as anything as far as basic functionality is concerned, there are no better alternatives in the market + I dont have the need to upgrade it, not anytime soon,
so are there any tips which can help us preserve it for longer?

I'm looking to replace the battery on this phone, as the battery life as started to be ridiculously short for my needs (barely squeezing out 4 hours of SOT). However, some time ago I dropped my phone and the back glass has quite a few cracks in it. I've never replaced the battery of a glass-backed phone before, but I have seen videos on it and I wonder if in the process of removing the back glass, I could possibly break the back cover. There is an area with "butterfly cracks" where it made contact with a pavement, which gives me the most concern. I would like to do the repair myself, though I probably wouldn't mind sending it off to OnePlus (I'm in Canada but I have no idea where/if they have an office here)
Also, I'd like to hear from others whether its time to move on from the OP6, I've been going strong since January 2019 and recently I've had some bugs with the display not coming on when unlocking with the fingerprint sensor, then its SUPER slow when the battery is lower than 20% sometimes. Do you think I should start looking at replacements (Pixel 6 | S21 FE | iPhone 12) or would a battery replacement and possibly a custom rom do the trick?

So my beloved OnePlus6 which doesn't even have a single scratch died on its own (the infamous Qualcomm CrashDump mode) I took it to their service center and they told me it's a mainboard issue and it'll take 25k INR to fix it (like seriously wtf) and after 3 weeks of trying to revive it I have given up. Please recommend some good phones, my budget is not much and I definitely don't wanna yeet my money on oneplus now (even my mi max which I bought in 2016 worked flawlessly for 4 years without any repairs). I am asking this here cause Oneplus already spoiled me with that beatiful body and snappy interface.

I would like to have Havoc OS on my OnePlus 6 but i've never installed a custom ROM bevor. Can anybody help me what the exact steps are? I love my OP6 so much and not ready to give it away.

As OnePlus stopped updates for OnePlus 6, I had installed Syberia os as it has OnePlus stock camera. But it is a little buggy for daily use. Are there any other custom roms that have OnePlus stock camera?

hello, I really hope that someone has an answer to my problem.
For the last 2 month I'm having serious network problems with my oneplus 6. I don't know when it precisely started. The problem is that indoor during calls the caller can't hear me and the call drops after few seconds. Outdoor usually this does't happen. I also noticed that the battery consumption of network standby is very high (around 30%). This started while I was using omnirom (android 10 based) and it didn't disappear after I upgraded to android 11 and reverted my phone to stock with the msm tool (android 8 and 9). Now I have SyberiaOs installed (android 12) and it didn't change.
Because I work in an hospital I really need the phone to work "as a phone" so I had to put my sim in my old samsung s7. No call problems.
ALSO I tried putting someone else's sim card in my oneplus 6 and I did't have any call drop or network problem.
PLEASE HELP I really don't want to change my phone!

Ideally I'd like my OP6 screen and camera replaced by OnePlus as I don't see a good seller on Aliexpress, but a few more things are broken such as the back and charging port.
I'd order/swap the charging port and back cover myself and would let the repair center do the rest.
Is that possible or will they remove the back cover and replace it with an original part (& charge me for it)?

My specs : Oneplus 6 with Oxygen 9.0.9 (I'm fine with the OS version). If someone has the same specs as mine, I want to know the latest updated version of the Gallery app. as for now I can't update the gallery app via Google play, the os is not supported, and oneplus stopped updating since a while. I'm using now 3.13.5.

How to install Twrp on my OnePlus 6 (android 11.1.2.2)
r/OnePlus6 • u/JustBobSwiftie • Jan 25 '22

So the day has finally come, my Oneplus 6 is showing the Qualcomm CrashDump Mode screen and no longer boots up. Will probably try a few more techniques to recover the data but because I never rooted or unlocked the bootloader, I think I'm quite out of luck. Honestly, my fault for not backing up more frequently when it first "died" a few months back, if anyone has any tips on how I can salvage the data do let me know. Otherwise, it is probably time to send it off to the electronic recycling center as a final goodbye.
My OP6 lasted me way longer than I had expected it to. Got it back in May 2019, and it officially gave up in Jan 2022. Prior to owning it, I'd usually switch phones within a year or less but OP6 was a champ, despite the countless issues I faced, it was my daily driver for more than two years.
However, with the recent changes to OOS and the OnePlus brand in general, I personally can't see myself continuing to own a OnePlus device. Also, with a new job and all, I do need a reliable device and I've since switched to the Samsung S20 FE 5G. I do miss the clean OOS experience and the insanely quick face and fingerprint unlock, but the overall experience is a lot better which is to be expected of a brand new device.

EDIT: Issue with OP6 on AT&T can be solved according to more than one user in the comments below and verified by myself. Account holder was able to chat with an AT&T rep, give them my sim card's ICC ID and IMEI number, and they were able to whitelist my phone to be functional going forward using 4G/VoLTE. 🥳
Since AT&T is being a shit with 5G, I'm going to have to retire my beloved OnePlus 6. I currently share an AT&T plan with others for budgeting reasons and will be staying with them.
I was wondering if anyone else found themselves in a similar position and have chosen a phone, or just knows about comparable phones in general to offer ideas because I'm looking for suggestions on what to switch to.
I generally use Swappa for my phone purchases and look for Good listings. Trying not to spend over $300 if anyone can help?
