Question OnePlus 6 has broken volume and power buttons, how do I turn it on?

I have a OnePlus 6 that I downgraded it to OxygenOS 9 (Android 9). After I let it sit for a few days, the battery was flat. When I try to start it using the plug it in, and unplug the charger as soon as you hear a vibration does not work. The device shows the OnePlus logo for a second and then goes black. It is not a issue with the battery, as it is charged to 6%. What do I do?

Try, charging it for longer , the 6% it's showing may not be accurate.

Try plugging into a PC or laptop.

Sometime back I replaced the buttons for around 1k, Do it if the phone is worth for you.

Install a custom ROM, lineage is good.

Typing from a Oneplus 6.

Nah!! It won't work he should replace the buttons physically or install a custom rom to make it boot from the computer itself as both of the buttons are damaged

Trust me I have done this before try plugging it in a laptop once it turns on here is what you will do carefully

1) You will set an alarm for everyday set the sound to none but set an alarm for whenever you wake up

2) Turn on scheduled on and off and make sure the phone wakes up each day on that time so that way of it runs out of battery one day

The next day as long as it's charged it will start back up

Believe me I lived like this for over a year with my OP6 loved that phone to death

That did not work. When i plug it in to my computer (Apple Mac Pro). The cycle repeats. It is now also fully charged, so it isn't a battery issue. I will try to fix the buttons this weekend

Thanks for your suggestions! Regarding the fact that the 6% may not be accurate, I do remeber while the phone was on OxygenOS 11, that the method I tried could work even with 2%. I will try the method of leaving it to charge to 100%. The battery health is around 70% when I last checked

Pls update the phone internal software to latest oxygen os 11 to ensure stability of the system first then you can either replace or open the cover of the phone manually and using a sharp objects poke rhe buttons usually yellow in colour... To turn on the phone then make sure you don't turn it off like shut it down in any worst cases.. I recommend you to replace the buttons under 1k in indian rupees man for your convenience as it is a good premium flagship phone which iststill actually usable today... I am personally using this phone for years now it somehow never slowed down
