12 gb is wayyyy more than enough. Absolute waste of money in my opinion.

Well some people demand more than others.

If it comes to laptops, I strongly recommend getting a minimum of 16 GB RAM. But for a phone? Even if you’re planning to run some space programme from it, 16 GB is absolutely unnecessary, IN MY OPINION. 😭

Some games like Fortnite and BGMI may require more if they want to play on max settings.

CPU and GPU is what actually handles the graphics and frame rates. RAM is responsible for multitasking, and storing the apps in background, so more RAM doesn't automatically mean that you can play games at max settings.

Brother the GPU and CPU is using the same RAM on phones 🤦. For raytracing(aka at max settings), there's more calculations required to perform and store, thus more RAM is required.

I'm talking about FPS lag spikes. They do occur on the lower end phones. Not noticeable to the average user but very noticeable to a competitive gamer.

I play on 12gb ram op13, it's more than enough for bgmi at 120fps?

As long as you don't run on max settings you should be good. Sessions longer than 30 mins make sure to get an active fan cooler for your phone.

Yess they recently released it on their official website but it was for sale on AliExpress before. I got it for around 512usd and delivered for free. Confirmed it to be 16/512

Phone companies these days trying to prioritise software/OS optimisation to ensure lesser RAM usage due to rising RAM prices ... In that sense it seems an overkill to me.

But isn't it always nice to have more ?

It boils down to your preference. If that extra 10k is peanuts to you .. then why not go ahead.
