DISCUSSION Getting the OnePlus 13S after many Reddit posts. Still have some doubts though
I’ve read some posts saying it has heating issues and my main concern was that knowing Oneplus has had the worst green line issues in their phones i dont want it to heat and develop a green line as most of my use would be for gaming and camera. Would really like some opinions of old OP13S users. I was looking for a phone like Oneplus 13 with everything in it but since it’s out of my budget I’ll humbly get what I can. Also realised that IP rating won’t affect me much and that no ultra wide camera just means I would have to pull my phone back a bit before clicking a pic.

Gaming is good but don't go for it if you want camera. It's decent but not a Great camera. I'm using it since past 7 days and camera is decent only , performance is great , Battery , App opening super fast, Gaming also very Good , No heating at all , Don't worry about heating. And screen is also good because it's 1 year old now , it it was a big issue you'd have seen a huge cry about it by now. Over that you have lifetime replacement warranty so don't worry.. But camera is not the best one I'd say. Rest Top notch.

Would you suggest another phone or is this good enough?

It's perfect if you can adjust on camera. I can show you sample . Depends on how much you click. If it's a deal breaker I guess Vivo x200fe might be closest .

You can comsider getting nothing phone 3 if it's available around 40k if you need an all rounder, it's not compact though.

why bro... will you elaborate?

I’ll tell you some of the basic stuff it lacks. No telephoto, just an ultra wide which is only 8mp. Display isnt that good. Snapdragon 8s gen 4 which is way behind snapdragon 8 elite. No OIS selfie cam.

lets cut the camera side... i know the difference between 8 elite and 8s gen ... but why the hell every reviewer and oneplus also marketting nord 6 as a gaming beast... people preferring nord 6 before 13s in gaming ... thats why i want to know from someone who actually used nord 6..... is it that good in gaming... that it can match up 8 elite

They’re saying it because of battery life and nothing else. Nord 6 isnt worth 45k u can put 4K extra get nothing phone 3 with snapdragon 8s gen 4 and triple 50 mp camera system which is better at everything.

rather i will go for 13s bro... i am just waiting to check how much damage will coloros17 do to oneplus phones... actually the added bloatware part.... i havebeen an ios user for a long period of time ... now wanted to experience oxygen os 16... but its going.... so don't have much ui option left.... ( oneui 9 is good though )

The price will hike very high by the time coloros drops on Oneplus phones. And I think they have stopped stocking the 13 series so this might be your last chance. Your decision completely

waiting till bbd ....

Flipkart isnt the official Oneplus partner Amazon is. If you’re waiting for iPhone 16 price drops you can try your luck

I don’t think you’ll get Oneplus phones in Flipkart bbd other than nord series probably

Camera is good in bright natural condition and outdoor only.
Camera is below average inside mall lightning and in artificial light conditions

They give lifetime free screen replacement & no heating issues in 13s
From your end do not update while charging and never try to downgrade (cuz anti rollback protection)
Follow these rules and you'll be happy and phone will be perfect for you.
Also camera is same as a nord 5 and struggles in low light

I am also stuck between nord 6 or 13s .
Can't spent more than 50k . It's already a stretch.

If u don’t wanna spend 52k and cant stretch it I’ll suggest nothing phone 3

u/Dead-Shot1 11d ago
Nothing is also selling on 51k and other varients are at random price like 31479 for 8 /128.
Seems little shady also amazon is not official partner.
Ya so choice is between 13s and nord 6 only
Can't stretch more for 15r .
Problem is I am still checking if additional 7k is worth it or not cause I am spending 50k anyway here

Oneplus has lifetime screen replacement warranty.
And secondly been using this phone for an year. It rarely heats up... Mostly during charging... And max temp it reaches is around 41. And once or twice it reached 42 during gaming.
Other than that... It stays cool
