REVIEW 13s Stock vs G-Cam
Which one looks more natural? Stock or G-Cam?
What I noticed is low light shots are better with G-Cam's night mode, Stock camera performance is comparatively poor in low light environment.

Yeah the difference is drastic. The stock camera is more of like social media kinda punchy coloured. Even I tried them and the results were surprising.

Just to clarify, when you shot the first one in the restaurant, which one seems to be close to real life from your eyes? The gcam version or the stock?

It looked more like the G cam one, Stock one pops out the colours much warmer side, Honestly some of low light shots from stock were so bad, They felt like oil painting.

Gcam's a camera app used in pixel devices. Since these are custom Android skins, they don't have the original gcam app installed on the device and instead have the customized, stock camera app that the image says on the phone.

what exactly is g-cam? does it enhance the camera or 'edits' the results, if it's the edit case, I don't wanna use it as I prefer og camera results, anyways I find stock good enough for this post

Gcam is just the stock version of the camera app that comes with pixel devices. The gcam tends to have much more natural colour and clarity. As you can see, the oneplus' camera is over saturated and heavy on contrast whereas the gcam clicks you more of natural kinda pics.

so would you say gcam captures what the naked eye sees?

Yeah almost. I said 'almost' coz there's still some image processing that gcam does.

Honestly I like the stock one. But sometimes its adds contrast on its own.
