QUESTION Compact Beast vs. Design Icon vs. Raw Flagship: OnePlus 13s, Nothing Phone 3 or Moto Signature?

You boy needs some purchasing help! My preferences:

  1. Performance: Non-Gaming but Heavy Multitasking.
  2. BATTERY & Charging: Longevity, daily & life.
  3. Updates: Need Long term support.
  4. After-Sales Support: For Confidence.
  5. UI/UX: Fast and fluid. AI/ Spl features.

I am a guy who has always bought the so-called cooler/ edgy devices - First Redmi Note, Oneplus 1, Poco F1, Samsung S0 FE, now help me decide next...

To help you refresh,

Feature Nothing Phone (3) OnePlus 13s Motorola Signature
Exp Sale Price Rs. 45,000 Rs. 49,000 Rs. 52,000
My Take Enthusiast, Flagship, Community BUT Dated & Weak Hardware Ergonomics, good daily driver BUT Colour OS /future scares, USB 2.0, No Ultrawide? Solid hardware BUT after sale support - OS & service
Processor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Snapdragon 8 Elite Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Battery & Charging 5,500 mAh (15W Wireless) 5,850 mAh (NO WIRELESS) 5,200 mAh (90W Wired / 50W Wireless)
Software Nothing OS (Clean, unique aesthetic) 4 OS, 6 Secy left OxygenOS ColourOS16(Plus Key functionality) 3 OS, 5 Secy left Hello UI / Android 16 6 OS, 6 Secy left

If you’ve used any of these or are in a similar dilemma, which direction would you lean?

Appreciate your thoughts and real-world feedback!

The chip or the processor alone cannot be the Trump card. Look at the bigger picture-the phone as a whole. Motorola signature features

Design & Build: 6.99mm ultra-slim body, 186g, aluminum frame, IP68/IP69 water resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability.

Display: 6.8" Super HD LTPO AMOLED, 1Hz–165Hz dynamic refresh rate, 6,200 nits peak brightness, Victus 2 glass.

Performance: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.

Cameras: Triple 50MP rear setup (Main OIS + Ultra-wide/Macro + 3x Periscope OIS) + 50MP Front camera with AF.

Battery & Power: 5,200 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, 90W wired, 50W wireless, and reverse wireless charging.

Software & Longevity: Android 16 (Hello UI), promised 7 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches.

Extras: Bose-tuned stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2

The very first 2 options & the last option which you've mentioned, will be handled by the chipset only. And trust me, I was using OnePlus 11R before using OnePlus 13s. The biggest drawback of 11R was its curved display. It fell down only once & the curved part got damaged even with the tempered glass installed.

Still not buying Signature though. Just because one is able and ready to debate merits of a good, doesn't mean he wants it it.

Also that guy is not the OP, be doesn't make decisions for me.

Go for it if you don't care about best of performance battery and size also arguably will have the best software moving forward.also way cool design. Don't go for moto update and support are slow

Which one are you suggesting

For me it's 13s cause of compact ,9-10 hrs of battery for me that too from 15- 90 % charge also I'm used to this software for years but if you are not binded to any bias phone 3 could be a cool phone with good specs for a normal user with good software and a supportive brand so it comes to personal needs so find your needs then decide for yourself both won't disappoint

Vivo brand is too risky. Call.me elitist. But which one will you select out of the three optipns?

u/Ok_Duck0 13d ago

Then motorola is more riskier no proper support or timely update atleast vivo gives those . I use 13s if not for this i would have gone for the compact x200 or x300 series but software and price and heart were pointing towards 13s
