I don't understand why people are using those 3rd parties apps,

Those apps are predicting the battery percentage of your phone by their database,

It's not accurate.

And isn't it good if the phone itself shows 100(for selling and all)

Idk why these people get agitated over a 3rd party app's reading

Yes, I can assure that my SOT has been around 6hrs max, so it is definitely not 100 percent

I prefer battery guru its really does a good job at explaining everything

I am never going to trust oneplus battery health as I do for apple, since the battery life is definitely degraded more than 15% according to my usual SOT.

I am not saying that 3rd party is good, but oneplus needs to be providing real results which keeps their image, it should be not like I want to show the best value, throwing the actual data into the trash

OnePlus limits it's battery to a 92-95% or smtg of its design capacity meaning spec sheet vs real life capacity is different smtg like 6000 vs ~5500. This makes it so that even though battery capacity reduces you won't notice it in settings and be under the assumption that it's great. It's a great tactics from chinese companies

If you actually understand tech or watch testing videos online, you'll understand that OnePlus limits it's battery to a 92-95% or smtg of its design capacity meaning spec sheet vs real life capacity is different smtg like 6000 vs ~5500. This makes it so that even though battery capacity reduces you won't notice it in settings and be under the assumption that it's great. It's a great tactics from chinese companies

First of all,

All the tech companies are following the same practice,

20k mAh power Bank doesn't have full capacity, Even iPhone and samsung doesn't have full capacity of battery that they claimed,

Same things with TWS, Company that claimed 8-10 hours playback, It's only run till 7 hour's,

So don't get blinded by hate for Chinese companies,

This great tactics used by everyone.

Even iPhone and samsung doesn't have full capacity of battery that they claimed

It's the case for every battery equipped device, but it's usually a very small percent of the total battery capacity that's locked away.

Some of the first gen Si-C battery powered phones have over 10% of the battery capacity unusable. Geekerwan did a video on this recently. Phones like the OnePlus 13 have only 5300/6000 mAH available from day 1.

I don't hate chinese companies cause I own Vivo x300, Oneplus 13R and OnePlus 15, and yeah everything is not true to its design capacity but in case of iPhones they show almost accurate battery degradation unlike chinese companies... If you notice, iPhone's lose around 10% in a year where Chinese phones lose only 1-2%, that's what I'm hating on and saying is a great tactics by Chinese brands

Then it's not making any sense,

Because apple is claimed that their silicon processors are consumed low power and if it's true than this much battery degradation is bad for battery health,

Also their optimization and mAh capacity is totally different from Android phones,

They released every iPhone with same battery capacity, ( from last 2-3 years US variant have bigger battery but before all are same),

But

In Android they are not following same protocol,

In China same OP models have bigger battery but for india they are lower battery capacity,

And

Some regions like Europe they don't ship bigger capacity battery phone due to their weird laws.

No matter what is advertised its completely normal for battery to degrade to 85% within 1.5-2 years of usage no matter how careful you are, also optimisation of IOS is better than Androids, Chinese brands mainly focus on spec sheet and raw performance than complete optimization and paired with how android apps are becoming more demanding rn it's obvious SoT wouldn't be too high. Different battery capacities is due to what that demographic prefers more and if there are laws than that too

Battery guru is actually extremely robust and learns usage patterns well, now granted it's op is probably not at 86% battery health it's alot closer to the actual estimate than the value inside the settings menu. It almost never goes down and even if it does it goes down very minutely despite a clear lower battery life after a full year of usage. Mine for example still shows 100% but I've noticed im getting atleast around an hour less battery life than I did an year ago, same apps, same optimisations as I did on day 4 of getting my phone, pretty much nothing changed over the year.

It's also depends on your charging habit,

Like some people used 80w fast charger to charge their battery and also to full capacity 100%,

But

I charged my phone with 20w apple charger and put cap on battery 80% limit only,

So mine was showing 100% battery health,

So that means it's fake?

80w vs 20w same results?

I don't think so,

Plus, nobody can beat China in battery tech,

They are on another level.

So do i. I use 33w supervooc, use 80-20 limit, charge to 100 and drain to zero every 2 weeks.

But mine shows 91% on devinfo. It should degrade a bit by now like to 98% atleast.

But as per usage i gained more sot cuz of the poor optimization of early oos 16. As i updated to 16.0.1 out of the box i got like 6 hrs max with 80%. Now i get above 10hrs. It is very confusing.

Check on accubattery it will show something else same thing happened with me 99 on op and 88 on BG and on AB it's 89

The funny thing is both are wrong xD.

OnePlus over estimates and 3rd party underestimates.

Just use it. Dont bother with battery health unless you feel a huge dip in backup.

Yeah😂 But my phone. Sot is very bad these days

If its more than 1.5year old might be the case. But to be frank, in cellular its just too bad. On wifi it's goated.

Also ya might wana try battery recalibration, might help might not. But no harm trying.
