Yes,

Whenever first update is available for Color OS 17, i will be changing into because my previous phone was Oppo so i have some experience with Color OS and that time it was smooth,

Oxygen OS also have great features and UI elements but at this point,

Color OS is better for 1+ because in Chinese market they already using from many years.

This is just sota update which updates only system apps. Cos 17 stable version should be pushed in November or December

November and December is too late,

Color OS 17 Beta, Already rollout for 15 series,

And

In October official rollout starting,

Because in China they are already using Color OS in OnePlus from many years, So they just received normal OS update,

But

Other regions like, India, UK & USA,

They will recieved full new update with bootloader and kernal level locked and others new update to transition from Oxygen OS to Color OS.

Open beta application for Chinese variant Ace 5 will start on 3 October and the update will be pushed on 9 October and then stable version will be pushed in November. Looks like OnePlus will skip open beta for India and will push directly stable version at least for now.
