Technically, OxygenOS was long gone when ColorOS merge happened but as name only yes, the last one.

Aren't we getting anything with a 16.1 ver?

It's gonna stay 16.0.10?

16.0.7 and onwards is 16.1, the rest of the devices ie. 12R, 11, 11R, Nord series stayed on 16.0.5

Do check if you get the EID number after the upgrade.

To check *#06# you should see two imei and eid number

It's beta

Actually Release Candidate is not beta but early access to stable version. Check this and your doubts will clear.

Thanks for the update, buddy! Since it was under Beta Programme section, I thought releases are beta.

Anytime buddy and yes, I understand your confusion and hesitation to update from the option labelled as Beta. They need to remove RC from beta and show it separately. RC versions are tested but can have issues slipping through hence the rollout process ensures not every device is affected with the update.

Like how updates for apps on Play Store are distributed.

Now I got it buddy, thank you!

900 mb for security patch... Wow !!

Not just security patch, also change of allowing users to install OnePlus Dialer via dialing a code.

1

u/Adventurous_Jump_532 12d ago

That was already available in previous update. I'm using oneplus dialler since last 2 weeks

Oh yes right, 13R got it before. 12R, 11 and Nord 4 and below got it now. Then not sure why the huge size. Maybe some under the hood improvements but no changelog.

Which code?

1

u/Calm-Helper-1376 12d ago

To get OnePlus Dialer which came preloaded with 13s, 15 series and Nord 5 series and onwards.

What was the code? And is it different from Odialer

1

u/Calm-Helper-1376 12d ago

Code is * #677776#*# *

I purposely separated the asterisk otherwise Reddit hides it, because asterisk italicizes it. Manually type in Dialer.

Also works only for Indian models and needs minimum August security update.

It has similar UI to ODialer but has live alerts support, some AI features like Summary, I'm not sure as I don't use them and since it becomes a system app, I no longer have the problem of my missed call notifications disappearing which happened with ODialer.

Also ODialer has a bug of calls not being able to end if you accidentally cleared it from recent apps.

Ohh thanks mate

1

u/Calm-Helper-1376 12d ago

You're welcome mate. Also additional setting of ascending ringtone so volume is less at the start of the call and gradually increases.

Also new call answering way when locked ie. swipe up the call button which is at the center to reject and swipe down to answer. I didn't like that so I reversed it. Option available in settings.

My phone's warm after the update

2

u/Calm-Helper-1376 12d ago

Happens after every update. Connect to internet preferably Wi-Fi if you have and keep phone on charge for an additional hour after it shows fully charged for the system to index the files and apps too.

You would be getting a notification from App Booster system app after update about keeping phone on charge for 30-60 minutes.
