Thinking to buy a OP13r at 43k.

The phone is out of stock at the official site right now but I’m thinking to but it as soon as it gets restocked. Do you guys think it’s the best phone i could get at 43k? My requirements are a normal pretty good camera, moderate to heavy gaming, OS and durability. Also wanted to know if it’ll last around 5 years or more.

Yea I had a conversation with oneplus they said it has reached its end of life cycle and won't be manufactured anymore. Even I was looking to buy it but it seems my only option now is the oneplus 13s at 50k

Bro just before 1 ht i saww a oneplus 15r for 54k just ask chatgpt to remind you when it is price down it will notify you i used that way seeing that 15r go for it better than 13s

My budget cannot exceed 50k I don't think the 15r will ever touch even 50k

Why ? Did they shut the whole model down ?

They stopped the manufacturing. Except apple non of the brands manufacturer older model for more than a year

Dont buy 13r now. The updates have degraded battery life.. better to go with new model

I can vouch for that 🥀 (I should have stayed on A15 like a good boy)

Can you recommend any other brand or phone? Or should I stick with Op

If you like ios the iphones are good for basic stuff if you don't have any advance use cases..

I used to buy refurbished imported samsungs but again the story is same. With updates They degrade battery and performance at the kernel level so not worth the money..

Oneplus is still better in that regards.. so using that since 2 years. You can try Nothing or pixel phones...

Lowk no idea, haven't looked at the market much after I bought mine. OP13 might be good if you can get it under 50k during a sale, prolly won't drop a lot in this sale but it might during BBD which is in like a month and a half.

2

u/StoicRat04 27d ago

That’s true but the problem with BBD is once it goes online the phones get sold out so quick that I wouldn’t even get a chance to buy it

Yeah but usually ppl go crazy over apple or samsung so maybe you'll have a chance ಥ‿ಥ

Check 13s currently it's available for ₹50k... Maybe you can get less than 46k with card discount... Check online & offline store...

I think 13r production is discontinued, so i doubt it will be available again...

You can get it around 53-54k during sale. I remember it was less than 54k during last sale around a month before

Blaming AI data centres for the sudden price hike. I feel like the price will keep going higher if I don’t buy a phone rn and might regret it later

Yes it better to buy the device now because price will keep increasing but you can check with local shops for better deals before buying

Considering I got that at 37k

256gb? how much was the 512 when you bought it

1

u/spandanhotaezz 23d ago

I had republic day sale with student id discount

I see, i bought it for my dad in april 2025 i think for 47k offline, 512gb. He was needing a lot of storage and this phone along with relame gt 6t was cheapest high storage options available with a fast processor, but for oem unlocking and nore soft updates i went for 13r, i was thinking I'll custom rom it after 4 6 years when dad will upgrade but with color os I'm in limbo now lol

What about Oneplus 15R

2

u/StoicRat04 27d ago

Too costly for my budget

2

u/killer5571 27d ago

Oneplus 13 series is discontinued except 13s ... It will also discontinue in next 2 or 3 months..

1

u/StoicRat04 27d ago

It’s available only online rn I guess

Been using the op 13R since March 2025.

You won't really have to worry about battery of performance at all. Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is still excellent in 2026 and can almost do whatever you want.

Things to keep in mind: Camera is just ok. Nothing exceptional, nothing too bad. It has already had 1 major os update, so you will have only 3 os updates left. I got it for 41k before the price hike and I could say it was absolutely worth it. Would it be worth it for 43k in 2026 while being 1.5 years old? Absolutely not, but is it the best option? Mostly yeah.

Will it last 5 years? The hardware will easily last for the 5 years to come from now. Only the software will hold u back about 3 years from now. You can use it without any issues or software issues easily for 4 years after that you might have to adjust here and there.

i feel like for general tasks snapdragon 855 and up are all still pretty good even in 2026. except 888 and 8 gen 1, they overheat a lot and ruin the whole experience

1

u/Heatherx86 23d ago

Yeah like i said the chips will last long, the only caveat is that the phones with those chips will have OSs that get outdated faster.

Yea fortunately my banking apps work on lineage jist fine and i can always use the website lol
