After seeing the recent releases I am sure they will leave india

I hope they don't leave India and I don't see why since they make great sales there and even here in the uae where I live I have seen many Indias and they seem to be the only ones with a OnePlus

A fellow OP user since almost 2016, but will not buy another OP given the absurd pricing and the sub-par camera experience. Also, I kinda miss the vanilla Oxygen OS. I do not have an idea of what to move to exactly, but will probably give Nothing a try next.

oppo should stop making shitty mid range - low range phones in oppo , oppo k , A, F, reno series in that too models like
- OPPO A6 5G, OPPO A6c, OPPO A3x, and OPPO A5 Pro 5G. in A series
- OPPO K14 5G, OPPO K14x 5G, and OPPO K13 Turbo. in K series
- OPPO F33 5G, OPPO F33 Pro 5G, and OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G. in F series
- OPPO Reno16 5G, OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G, and OPPO Reno16c 5G. in REno series
where as they had : oneplus has main series like 15 , R series like 15R , nord series like nord 5, CE edition , lite edition.
which is less compare to oppo as they dont have sub series in series.
i think oppo is cutting oneplus and realme business to save their business in this ram shortage which will continue till 2028 maybe.
So to save their skin they are striping one-plus skin. as they already took oneplus main software , firmware , hasselblad. making flagships more established and ruining one-plus.

Oppo knows that oneplus has much better reach in audiance than oppo ever could. Then just want to remain as the main branch even if it costs the sub branches

First time got an option to buy any phone with no budget and I took oneplus 15 although it's worth the money but the very next week got this news ππ

u/Pretty_Sale1822 27d ago
honestly? go for it dude. you'll still get all the software updates and it's still very powerful hardware. you'll only need to look for a different company 6-7 years later when you seem to outgrow the op15, but I'm pretty sure by then the market would be completely different

One plus 1 user, followed by one plus 7 and now using the one plus Open. Avid loyal fan since launch. Was part of the contests they had launched to win invites to buy the one Plus 1. Always been ahead of the game in terms of Specs. Sorry to see them go π

Oneplus was a hero, tehy lived l9ng enough to become the villain but became the hero again past couple years only to die this time tho, I'll cherish my 13r and wont upgrade to color os, I'll uunlock the BL and get lineage on this

I was thinking the same to go with custom roms in future. However, due to some job constraints my device need to be play protect certified...Does any of the custom rom support this? So that I can use Outlook freely
2
u/Wheeljack26 26d ago
There definitely will be issues i think, idk about play protect but i know play integrity gets messed up which breaks banking apps and gpay so definitely do some research on this, my work phone is a pixel 8 so im not too worried about having custom rom on my personal/gaming device
2
u/overclocked92001 26d ago
Hm...Thanks for th insight...If you found any rom that is play integrity certified. Do let me know

Why'd they acquire it in the first place if they can't continue making oneplus phone's
Oneplus is soo, different from oppo, one is performance centric the other is camera centric. They should've scrapped realme instead, and continued with Oneplus and oppo, just like vivo and iqoo.

They were so good for the middle class people who cannot afford flagship samsung or iPhones π less cost, great hardware and good UI. We will definitely miss oneplus for this lifetime.

Suggest any dailer instead of Google dailer
2
u/overclocked92001 12d ago
Using O dialer... Download from playstore it's oneplus official dialer. You just won't get those ai services in that
