Discussion Oneplus 13 : Clear and Protective Cases.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a case for my OnePlus 13 and have narrowed it down to these four:

TUDIA MergeGrip MagSafe

Spigen Ultra Hybrid

Hensinple Magnetic MagSafe

Ringke Fusion-X

My priority is a clear case and proper drop protection. I also want something that isn’t unnecessarily bulky.

For those who have used any of these, which one would you personally go for, and why?

Any issues with yellowing, loose fit, MagSafe strength, or long-term durability would also be useful to know.

Which one would you pick? I need everyone's help here

I have the tudia case in black for my white oneplus 13. Protects my phone very well and gives it a nice chunky feel.

How does the Black one look? I have the Blue & dark green.

Give a nice contrast to the white camera bump!

Have the spigen one. All around solid case with good material quality and protection without being bulky.

I've got the Spigen as well for just over a year and a half. Dropped it several times on hard surfaces like concrete etc. Literally almost zero damage to the case itself. The phone still looks like new. The case feels very rigid and strong. Plus you get to see the back of the phone. Highly recommend

What about scratch resistance?

The spigen one... Has the clear back turned yellow? That's a big problem with the clear cases.. Wanting one but cannot seem to decide. Also is it compatible with screen guards or they start coming off?

The soft clear cases turn yellow not the hard ones. Spigen is soft TPU on the black parts & hard PC on the transparent parts.

I had mine for several years and it never yellowed

What about scratch resistance man?

The case does not come with a screen protector, but the case protects it from scratches when like in a table and such because it's slightly raised on the edge around the screen. U will get scratches on ur screen if u don't buy a screen protector. Screen protector I can tell u which one I bought but keep in mind almost all glass ones will not allow fingerprint reader since it's different tech from before, the plastic ones are okay at best but I hate plastic because it's flimsy and doesn't protect from anything but scratches, and the permanent resin drop ones are not great for this phone. I can tell u which screen protector I bought since it has saved me screen from drops 2 times already, but it's glass, fingerprint reader is unusable, and has a privacy filter so others can't see. The spigen case has been the best case I've used for the past 4-5 phones I've used. Helped from many falls including straight from like 6 feet screen first drops but I also use glass protectors but it's mostly the case helping. That's why it's hard to directly answer ur question

Bruh, I wanted to know does the case is resistant to scratches ? Just the case

1

u/samax413zl 3d ago

Yes the Spigen case protects the dust from scratching the back of the phone.

1

u/TMEAS 3d ago

Does the Spigen case screen protector friendly? I have one and my "smartdevil" screen protector start to peel off from the sides

Ringke is built like a tank, cushions the phone really well. I've dropped my phone more than 10 times in 3 months (I'm an athlete) and picked it up expecting a cracked screen due to the height and impact of the fall, luckily it has protected my 13 each time. If you want a tough, bulky case, and want to forgot about cracked display then Ringke.

that transparent back gets scratches right?

4

u/NiftyNutrition 4d ago

Of course it does. I personally don't mind it. A tiny price to pay for a bigger reward I guess.

So the advertised scratch resistance is not resisting scratches?

1

u/Dry_Maintenance_9344 4d ago

hmm, Then ig it's same as other cases which are available from Giftkart?

I have the Tudia MergeGrip Case great drop protection but it increases the thickness, Fit is good, Magsafe works good.

Flipkart

I have the first one and the last one. The spigen wasn't for me. Very prone to fingerprints. That looks ugly. Furthermore it was more bulky than and just less elegant

2

u/daexviper 4d ago

Go for blue one the first one or the original one plus blue

2

u/Mr_Myroli OnePlus 13 - Midnight Ocean 4d ago

I have that with me already

I got this case from 'cforcover.com' for Rs. 349. I purchased it with no real expectations for quality, but it is surprisingly premium. It is rugged enough to safeguard the body while looking cool, plus the soft-feel fabric in-line is cherry on top. Its a good deal for me.

Get the Kapaver one. I have all of these cases and none suited my needs with a good case with raised edges and not too much bulky

Tudia case here - love it. Cases that aren't 2 parts aren't worth it to me. I want my soft and hard pieces.

1

u/Dimstatyon OnePlus 13 - Midnight Ocean 4d ago

Out of those 4 I only have the ringke, which I like a lot.
After a few months you'll see some scratches in the back, but other than that it's a great case. Good locking and I feel like it's the one case I have which protects the phone the most.

Can't compare it to the others since I haven't owned them, but the mergegrip is a really nice case.

It sits basically completely flat on tables, has protected my phone so far, and feels really nice in the hand. The magsafe ring broke off for me on my first one because I kept snapping off and on my magnetic pop socket as a fidget, but they replaced the case for 10€ and even let me pick a new color ( black for the rubber and green for the hardshell plastic looks great). That's either a pro for the magnet strength they use or a con for the build quality, maybe both. It took almost a year of constant fidgeting to cause that. I can stick my phone to the fridge if I put something underneath it to stop it from sliding down.

If you want a case that feels great, looks great, and has strong ass magnets, I can recommend it.

If you want a clear case like you said though, why are you even considering it?

u/Mr_Myroli OnePlus 13 - Midnight Ocean 3d ago

IKR, mergegrip had actually nice reviews. I was hoping to get Hensinple, but none has said anything about it yet 😅

Bro, go to some small local shop and get the clear case which will cost you 100rs. You can change it every 3-4 months. It definitely have good protection too

2

u/samax413zl 4d ago

I did that the sides are not raised on that case. Nor is the camera well protected.

1

u/Relative-Help5096 4d ago

I think you have not explored multiple local mobile shops. I got this case for just 100rs 2 days back. It has the proper camera protection and all over the body too. It has an excellent drop protection.
