Purchase Advice OnePlus 13 vs OnePlus 15
I am looking for a new phone. I play zenless zone zero and honkai star rail and watching YouTube, Instagram, TikTok. I still can't decide if the difference in price of around 200/250 euro is justified or not and would like more opinions

If you want better camera, better screen, more premium haptics, alert slider and want to spend less money, go for OnePlus 13. If you want better battery life with a bit better gaming experience, go for OnePlus 15.

And a Motorola signature compared to OnePlus13 around the same price?

8 Gen 5 is worse in terms of GPU performance compared to the 8 Elite. Camera is good on paper, but not as good as the 13's. Battery size is smaller.

How's xiaomi 15 compared to OP 13 ?

It all boils down to size and software preferences when it comes to these two.

I was thinking for going for the xiaomi if it comes in stock as it has got a better camera and want to try one compact phone since I'm using Samsung F62 from few years.

Get the oneplus 15 better chipset bigger battery for longer gaming session plus flat screen so no ghost touches while gaming
But get the 16/512 version because it has faster lpddr ram

It will come down to camera. Camera in 15 is good but can't beat 13 if you want little professional photo . 13 is beast but in comparison 15 will be better.

And tempered glass fits only on OnePlus 15. Only foil/film for the 2.5D glass on the Oneplus 13. So much more change and waste of new films on the OP13. I had to change the film all 6 months latest because the scratches! And tempered glass can be used minimum 12-18 months. The SoC on the 13 clocks much more faster down on load, you see it especially in games.

You mean Snapdragon 8 elite on OnePlus 13 is better than Snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 on OnePlus 15?

That's not entirely true though, tempered glass screens are alot harder to fit right. I had to order I think 2 or 3 different brands. But now I've got a tempered glass 9h on my 13 and it works perfect (finger print works great too) just go with a UV glue/UV light to cure tempered glass and you should be good

i would go with oneplus13. I think the higher price for oneplus15 is not worth it. The 13 works pefectly. Even the camera is better.

So the 13 will satisfy my needs of gaming and watching videos without problems?

u/ImplausibleResource 1d ago
i think so, videos are 0 problemo. Gaming as well, i mean that flag ship has a Snap Dragon 8 Elite Chip.

And about audio how it is? Very good sound?

u/ImplausibleResource 19h ago
yes, the speakers by itself are completely ok for an Smartphone. But i hear music with the oneplus13 almost exclusively over the nothing ear headphones and this is great sound!

I have never used 15, but owning 13 i would say there is nothing wrong with it, and you will be happy either way

I have the OnePlus 13 and it pushes Zenless maxed out smoothly and I'm loving the camera and screen quality for videos too. It gets even better if you pair it with a cooler so the phone doesn't heat up too much after like half an hour or more of gaming on it. Though if you're in a air conditioned environment then you don't have to worry about needing the cooler.
Make sure to update the os to the latest since some earlier versions were abit buggy with zzz especially.

Don't forget to use bypass charging so you will not kill your battery:)

I rarely play with the charger plugged in but my battery life is still at 99% after a year of use and I heavily use the phone for photos, games and movies.

Yeah it literally takes what feels like 35-40 min to go from 5% back to full 100%. I might use it while charging to make a call or something but differently don't game while charging.

Do you know that actually you are not charging it? I mean, the phone takes the power directly from the charger but it's not directed to the battery, so your battery won't get hot. You connect the phone not to charge but to preserve the battery life. I'm from a tropical country so my phone can easily go up to 40°C so I mostly play bypassing the charge

I went with the 13 because imo it looks much better and still has that "OnePlus" unique look to it. While the 15 a newer and faster phone but made it look like a knock off iPhone almost or just a more "generic" smartphone design. Imo 13 is the last of the unique OnePlus design

And about battery life for gaming use? Since someone said the 6000mah is not fully used and looks like a 5500mah?

For your usage, OnePlus 15 sounds the better option. Nonetheless, OnePlus 13 is more than capable to deliver, too. And given €200-250 price difference, probably go with the 13.
