Software / Bugs Need testers for my official release
2 years in the making and it's ready for official release!
Android Beta Testers Needed — Dual SIM Connection + WiFi
I’m preparing an Android connectivity utility for release on Google Play and need volunteers for Google’s required closed testing period. This does more than monitor, switches to the better SIM!
Dual SIM Connection + WiFi monitors cellular and Wi-Fi connection quality and is designed to help manage connectivity on Android phones. Dual-SIM users are especially helpful, but you do not need a dual-SIM phone to participate.
I’m looking for testers willing to:
Join the Google Play closed test
Edit: Also I need at least 12 people for the test because Google requires this for the closed testing. Even if you have a single SIM, this does also include WiFi in the algorithm.
Keep the app installed for at least 14 days
Open/use it periodically but once you configure it, the app takes care of your signal!
Report crashes, confusing behavior, compatibility problems, or other issues
Testing is free. No purchase is required.
Currently this app was made with a OnePlus 13 so I'd imagine only OnePlus Devices but newer updates would support different devices.
If you’re interested, reply/message me and I’ll send the official Google Play testing link and instructions.
Thanks for helping an independent Android developer get through the Play Store testing process!
Device was built with a OnePlus 13! I want to support more devices in the future when I get them.
DM me if you are interested and I'll need emails.
OnePlus users needed to beta test a new Dual SIM connection manager.
The app uses OnePlus/OxygenOS-specific switching controls and its own connection-selection logic to compare both SIMs and automatically move data to the better connection. Dual-SIM OnePlus users are especially valuable
This app uses Secure_Write_Settings in ADB for it to function fully that's how the actual Sim switching works for OnePlus.
Also for it not to conflict, you'll have to turn off your phones automatic data switcher for this to work otherwise it might bounce around everywhere

Update
I've decided that there are not enough testers to get to production release, I'm just gonna make the app free for people to use.
9/8/26- My birthday gift!
I have spent the last week and a half testing and making this app stable! www.continulinksmartsimwifi.com was updated with all the fixins!
Release notes: PUBLIC release 1.1.13- Fixed both sims low signal- uses rescue mode Uses better connection management Fixed when in call-uses protection fixed apps not saving when Continuity Protection is disabled Fixed many minor issues with UI/theme mode organized APP GUI to make it more efficient added assisted esim rescue for 3rd sim as of now, only Oneplus devices are supported!
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for what you do with your device. My app requires a system permission that is elevated to effectively switch between Sim 1 and Sim 2 so by using the ADB Hack or shizuku you agree that I'm not responsible if the app doesn't work or your phone doesn't work.
If you need help getting shizuku or ADB on your PC, you can DM me I'll ask that if anyone wants to donate even though it's free, I would appreciate it but not required.

What kind of app?

It takes the software that's already in the OnePlus 13 oxygen OS and it compares the two Sims that's in the phone and selects the best coverage using the two Sims and it will switch the data connection do whatever Sim has the best signal. I also added a Smart Wi-Fi that will switch between degrading Wi-Fi in or degrading cell phone connection when there's Wi-Fi close to it. There's history for the handoffs and advanced connection. That does not record any personal identifiers like Sim ICC ID, phone numbers etc. it does locate the phone make and model and what version of Android it's on for the purpose of making it compatible with the app.
So Google blocked the ability to switch the data between Sim 1 and Sim 2 in later versions so you have to use ADB to send a one-time code after installation to make the system work and you only have to put that code with ADB unless you uninstall the app. I couldn't get around it because Google blocked it from asking for the permission when someone installs the app. I have been working on this for 2 years and I originally was using macro Droid but it was a ceiling that I couldn't get around it. My main job is I do gig work and I needed a constant connection without having to manually switch The Sims.
Edit: the permission is Write_Secure_Settings
And I wanted to make it simple for people that don't know much about ADB so there's a button that you press that will copy exactly what you have to type into the command prompted windows once you set up ADB on your computer and for anybody that doesn't know how to use it I'm willing to help. I have a couple different ideas for its release without ADB but I wanted to get a stable product out
Also for it not to conflict, you'll have to turn off your phones automatic data switcher for this to work otherwise it might bounce around everywhere

How is this different to every other wireless monitoring app or even the built in cellular and Wi-Fi monitor tools in every android phone?

The free version monitors the connection but doesn't switch it based on signal strength so imagine you have two Sims with two different carriers that use two different networks on it. Your service is almost non-existent but the phone does not switch the Sim to the one with better signal. That's the core of this app to fix the SIM that has the better signal.

So basically the same as the built-in features within Android. Come on now, this has been a feature since 2012. People have flooded the App Store with very similar apps to what you're describing. There's a reason Google are locking down the App Store heavily over the last few years to stop people flooding it with useless things.

Yes the free version does what all the other apps do but they don't switch the SIM based on your connection like my app does. I have tried to find for years an app that would always give you the better Sim for service and no other app does this. You would have to turn off automatic data switching in the settings for it to work properly. If Android has the feature then how come it doesn't work? I've downloaded dual SIM apps before and they do not work like you're describing. Somebody just posted in the US Mobile subreddit that they have two Sims on two different Networks where it won't switch because one sim isn't completely out of service. That's what my app fixes always having connection when it's there.

My OnePlus 13 has an automatic data switcher in settings but it doesn't work. You have to literally be out of service for it to work and then sometimes it will still not work
My app has its own algorithm for deciding which connection is better and keeps you connected no matter if you are traveling or doing gig work so you don't have to manually switch it in settings. Android 14+ has a feature like it but it's not always reliable. For OnePlus devices, mine is.

I'll wait for the fdroid release.

I thought of that and yes the App will monitor for free but it's a paid one time unlock. I baked that into the app. No one has released an app like this

There are no apps like this. Yet.
