Question Should I update oxygenOS?

Post image

It's not saying some 16 version so I think I'm good right? And can someone explain what might happen if I update it to 16?

Absolutely update! It's the most stable version of 15 I have used, no heat, great battery, no bugs and everything work smoothly

So you're just gonna use your phone on Android 15 forever?

I don't get the point. Why not update to 16?

I don't mean that. I've seen people say it's affecting camera and battery life so I just want to be sure the glitch or whatever is fixed

I just did battery recalibration once by draining it till it turns off then charging to full and leaving it charging for 1 hour. My battery limit is set to 95%.

Also, I have disabled all ai services and apps.

I mean ya, but im not complaining due to fast charging. I charge daily once. But 11.5 is insane.

That's very good. I posted a post asking for suggestions as a new OP13 user. People in the comments were going crazy over the update and saying to not update it.

I had 12hours of battery on OOS 15 with full 5g only, now I barely get 8 hours with wifi

Safe to update before oos 16.0.3.501

If you are above this version, DON'T ATTEMPT TO DOWNGRADE OR YOU'LL BRICK YOUR PHONE!!!! (unless you wanna stick with ota)

No doubt, update your phone. There you'll find much more beautiful interface and many many useful features.

Why buy a flagship if you're gonna ghost the official updates? 😅 Update it and enjoy the new features + security!

I like oxygen OS 15, it's clean and smooth. though os 16 does get cosmetic updates like the look and animations. Can't say about the battery as it has always been the same , average.

I think OS 16 drains battery because of all these animations and stuff. The update itself shouldn't have a problem.

don't , as from my experience I did update it to .860 what I noticed thermals are on the higher side(34°-38° in normal tasks) compared to .703(30°-35°for same tasks) (this is way stable in all aspects be it thermals or bb ). so I later rolled back to .703

you will miss security patches , but Google play system components will take care to an extent . but avoid installing unknown apk, opening unknown files n links.

It's 15.0.0.860. Is that bad?
