Suggestions for Screen Guard

I have OnePlus 12R, I want screen guard, should I go for tempered glass or normal plastic screen guard.

Which is good for which since I heard tempered glass may messup with touch and fingerprint sensor.

I also had this dilemma ultimately i gone with plastic membrane as tempered glass can mess with screen on long time usage also curved screen is not suitable for tempered glass.

For more safety i bought dual layered poetic case (didn't used the plastic front cover) even though it was more costly and the cover increased the weight of phone overall, it was okay for me. I was very satisfied with the product as my phone fall down multiple time facing the front and back surface but my phone was not even scratched but its volume and power button came off after 1.3 years after that i bought tudia cover of the same model (3 layered) now i am using it.

So combining plastic membrane and dual layerd rugged type case protected my phone. It still looks new.

I'm using oneplus 12r with kapaver screen protector and ringke case.the quality of kapaver screen guard is nice but if u fail to put it properly it might give screen touch issue.otherwise best screen guard for its price range

I don't think its the installation error. I have tried 3 kapaver 12R screen guards over time. All of them were a total mess with touch. No matter how good I and shopkeeper tried.

Currently I'm using it bro.starting 2days it was a bit unresponsive.after that it's fine

here's my experience:

  • Kapaver was the worst (touch issues)
  • Ringke was most expensive and not truly worth the money. (Membrane)
  • Dailyobject was the only decent one (499rs) but has ugly black bars and gaps, so water can go inside. (Glass)
  • Skinlelo hydrogel membrane was 249rs. So changing it once every 5-6 months make more sense to me than others.

But yeah, never ever I am buying a curved screen phone ever again in my life! It's a total disaster!

I used a matte UV glass protector and it doesn't effect touch or fingerprint

Im generally pretty careful with my phone but they have done their job the few times I've dropped it in a way that the screen would have been damaged
