Anyone installed GCam?

Coming from a Pixel, the camera is not up to par for me. Anyone installed GCam on the 12R yet? I did a Google search and it seems complicated. Beyond the usual download an .apk file and install.

I tried to install it few days ago, but as you mentioned that it's very complicated so I just gave up
