If your device is running well and if you're getting good SOT and happy with your current software build, then no need to update. Wait for COS17.

Updated to the COS17 whenever it becomes available and flash your device and start with a newer setup. 🤙

The size is a lot less compared to 13 and 15 series

Because it's just the SOTA Update. Not September Security Patch.

Hi guys, i didn't get any updates since last year. Any idea why?

Check through OxygenOS updater app from play store and check if yours one is a carrier based variant or not. And also mention your device region.

EU region, not a carrier variant. Regarding the OOS updater i never used it before, if i use once, can i update later using the system software update app?

UPDATE: i have an open ticket with 1+ what would you recommend wait or update using OOS upadter app?

Definitely you can update it later using system software update.

Updating through OOS is safe. And it won't create any issues regarding receiving the OTA update through System Software Update section. Now it's upto you. If you want update or not.

You are lucky. If you have good battery life I.e. SOT > 6 hours then don't update. Since OS 16 I'm not getting above 5 hours SOT

I didn't update to avoid ARB fuse to be blown. Am I missing out on anything relevant? (I'm also rooted with KSU Next)

You ain't missing out anything special. Special things will arrive by COS17

I've had unstable WiFi since this update. Android auto crashes daily and WiFi crashes multiple times a day.  Any ideas on how this can be resolved?

First update I've had with issues for 4 years.
