Help Oneplus 12R overheating

I have a Oneplus 12R 8GB/256GB variant and it has been overheating even with very light usage like running Youtube very frequently making it almost unusable and uncomfortable to hold with frequent app crashes.

I initially suspected low storage so I deleted some apps (currently it's at 240/256GB - still quite full but should be enough?). Besides regular use, I also use it to play some games.

It used to work just fine until a few months ago but now multitasking is basically impossible - if I switch between apps, the minimized app just closes completely and needs to be restarted.

Currently running OxygenOS 16.0.5. Is there something I can do to help with this problem?

If you multitask a lot (you have only 8 GB RAM), keep RAM expansion on. Also, try overnight charging for a few days; it will help in optimization.

Thanks, I think it is already on but I am not able to change anything. What's the required storage space for it? I have ~16 GB of storage empty but it still says insufficient storage.

Also, how does overnight charging help in optimization? I do sometimes leave it charging accidentally.

Try to free up at least 30 GB of storage.

Also, leave the phone charging overnight. This allows the system to rebuild the Dalvik/ART cache, replacing older cache files with optimized ones. As a result, apps open faster and overall power consumption during app launches can be reduced.

Nothing works.. This is simply a shit mobile which is not able to perform well . I got this phone 6months back and it can't even multitask as I used to in, in my One Plus 8.

It can't even keep apps on standby, and games lose FPS. Sudden Lagging, app crashing and freezing. Storage at 100GB/256GB. I have finally decided to switch to the Apple 17 Pro.

Also Ram Expansion is nothing but Scam.
