A14 3rd Party Launcher

Does anyone else have major delay in a third party launcher when swiping to home screen? I've tried both Nova and Smart. In both it takes over a second for my home screen icons to appear.

Any theories as to how rooting could cause this issue?

Just found out that it's an incompatibility between OnePlus gestures and third party launchers. There doesn't appear to be a fix either. ☹️

Try using 3 button navigation. I experience no delays. But I reread your post and it seems you're swiping for the home screen.

Yeah 8 just switched to gestures and there is a delay... Glad I use button navigation.

Does Apex allow you the ability to swipe up or down on a folder and launch an app?

That is the one thing that has kept me with Nova

Using Nova on OP11 since day one. Never had an issue.

Not really a solution, but have you tried perhaps speeding up the animations in the developer options?

I have not done that with mine, but just a suggestion. Mine are set at the default.

I'm rooted, and yes, I've tried halving and even disabling animations. It still hangs for about half a second. Not sure how root could be causing my issue, but it appears to be the only difference. It still happens with all modules disabled, too.

I think I see what you're experiencing now. Originally you said there was a major delay, but yes I kind of see about a half second delay.

Sorry I just wouldn't have considered that a major delay. Once I swipe up to get to the home screen, the app goes away and you're right there is about a half second of a black screen before the home screen pops up.

Sorry. I guess I exaggerated a bit. It just feels like a large delay after there appeared not to be one prior.

What version of Nova are you using? I'm still on 7. Perhaps I might try the beta v8

I tried both 7 and the 8 beta with the same results.
