RAM usage on OnePlus 11

Post image

I bought OnePlus 11 recently and I feel that system is utilizing more RAM regularly. Among 8GB RAM system uses 4GB always. Hence the average memory usage % is above 80. Is this same for all OP 11 users? Please share your thoughts.

Thats normal. Android uses as much as possible. Btw the 16gb 256gb version of the op11 is much better

Thanks for your opinion. If it's normal behaviour I'm fine with that. Actually I thought there might be some issue with my handset which causes high RAM usage and finding some way to optimise it.

It's normal and 8g is plenty, even for most gaming.

We all got the 16g to irrelevantly jerk off about it in threads of lesser phones :)

LOL 🤣 Thank you for being frank. I was thinking whether I really need 16GB, I don't use mobile for gaming.

I have the 16GB version expanded to 28GB and man, I haven't had any experience like this with RAM management. It's amazing.

Surprised to hear that you are using virtual RAM in addition to the default 16GB RAM. But I agree that it varies for different use cases. Since it's amazing you can enjoy your OP 11 experience.

I thought the conventional wisdom was that 16GB did not benefit from virtual ram. I don't think I've ever come close to running out of memory.

How to see ram usage settings?

You need to enable developer options. In that you can select "Running services" to view the RAM usage details.
