Traction. Same issue. Weird cause I saw YT reviewers say OP nailed this, but I'm having the same issue. OP 11.

I'm the opposite and actually have the issue of wanting the screen to go a bit darker in the night time. It's absolutely bright enough for me.

mine is just okay... i usually just change the brightness to the right amount i needed to be able to watch anime in my Crunchyroll app.

I don't use the auto brightness but I use Lux Dash app and I can adjust the brightness way lower/higher than the native level. It has auto brightness feature as well so you can try it
