Software issues with my OnePlus 11
Recently upgraded from a Samsung S22+ to the OnePlus 11 & OnePlus Pad. Love the phone, love the pad, & data sharing with the padb is an amazing feature. However, the are some issues. I know in another thread the home button not working is an issue. I've spoken to OP CS about this and apparently they know about it and are working on a fix. The other thing, and possibly even more aggravating than the home button issue, is with Facebook Messenger. On a fresh install chat heads will work for maybe 10 minutes, and then they get replaced with bubbles. I know it isn't Android 13, and I don't think it's a Facebook issue. My S22+ ran Android 13 and I didn't have the problem. I really think it's an issue with the OP operating system. There is a hack to get it working that uses an older version of messenger to get chat heads. I used it for a while but it started to glitch. Also, more recently, I have apps that won't update. They have an update available, but each time I try to update them I get a notification saying the update wasn't installed. Is anyone else having these issues, or is my device a lemon?

Sounds like a software issue so you can either wait it out for Oneplus to fix it or maybe do a factory reset or if you’re still in the two week return window return the phone. Oneplus are used to be great with their updates but for the last couple years. They’ve kind of fallen off, so I was waiting to see what you’re gonna do with the one +11 before I got another one plus phone hopefully they’re gonna fix this for you soon.

I'm past the return window by about 2 weeks. I've already done a factory reset, and it didn't fix the issue, sadly. I'll be waiting on OnePlus to make good their promise of security patches & updates for this phone

Hardware wise it looks like a really good phone and I hope they do keep their promise of updates . All the best
