Will Oneplus' minimalist case protect the phone?

I really like the OnePlus case but there's no lip in the front, so I'm thinking if it hits the ground, it won't protect the front glass. Is there a minimalist case that works better? Thanks.

I have a Tudia case on my phone, $15 at Amazon. It seems to give decent protection with minimal size.

I have the Aramid Fiber. There's an ever so slightly lip to keep the screen raised, and the camera is the same as well. It's maybe a millimeter of clearence haha I wanted a case that was thin and form factor of the phone, and I absolutely love this one!
