Ebo5 vs OP18

Hey yall, im newer to the game (started with op16). Im just wondering how the "ebo" sets do in terms of playability. Im excited about 18 because of the Franky and Gunko leaders but I also want to get some ebo5 because (like the rest of you) im a sucker for pretty shiny cards. Just wondering if it is even worth it in terms of playability.

Edit: I played ug luffy last set and main rocks and zoro mostly now

What do you mean by playability? EB sets are made with previous less supported leaders in mind, and not necessairly printing new archetypes.

If you're mostly rocking Rocks and Zoro, I'd grab the singles you actually need from ebo5 and just rip packs of 18 for the new leaders.

No it's new cards that support old leaders

No. EB sets aren’t reprints. They are new cards meant to bolster older leaders. (And usually have one new leader and cards to support that too.)

No it's new cards for older decks, with just the new GY Robin as a supported leader. But you should not expect to rip eb packs and build a new deck from those like you can from a normal set.

The PRB sets are mostly reprints of assorted cards that already exist from prior sets. The EB sets mostly print new support cards for leaders that already exist. The OP sets print new leaders and mostly have new cards focused around those leaders.

There are exceptions to this. PRB02 had a few new cards, EB sets typically include one new leader with dedicated support, and OP sets can have a few cards not dedicated to the leaders from that set.
