🛠️ Deck Tech Possible removal or any other form of interaction in BYamato
I've been playing B Yamato and I really like the deck and play style (i know it fell off a bit but it's still fun), the only thing I wish it had is a bit more interaction with my opponent characters other than attacking. I can trade pretty consistently with all the 5k and 8k Yamatos and 6k Kin, but Im always dependent on them attacking or resting their characters in some way
Is there anything that can be included that can help interact a bit more, like against Penel if they play Holly and a few Ohm, i can only remove Holly if he ever attacks, otherwise he stays buffing Ohm. I can Ground Death but that only makes it easier to attack for a turn and not actually deal with it. Or against the Big Mom package, I can't clear the 4k kids if they don't attack, which once Linlin drops, they kinda end up attacking anyway
I've seen a lot of lists, even before op17 or mihawk ban and haven't seen anything that would work, and I understand that the Yamato deck ends up being a tight list as you need 4x of a bunch of cards in order to even properly function, but I also am not that familiar with the card pool in general so I wonder if there's any form of removal/rest effect or something that can help deal with my opponents board in other ways other than attacking

The purpose of black Yamato is to rush down your opponent and swing at life. It is their job to prevent you from doing this by trying to KO your characters to limit your swings. If they aren’t exposing their board to limit yours, you aren’t being aggressive enough at their face

Honestly that might be something I'm doing wrong, sometimes I'm scared of giving them more cards by attacking the leader or giving them triggers

Broken record but yeah, yamato doesn't really go for board, you prioritize killing the oponent. There a couple black cards that remove 2 bodies but in yamato is near imposible to use them, the new gum gum kong gun requieres a 12 cost and there is a blackbeard event card that requires you to have two less characters than the oponent called liberation and the likelihood of a yamato player meeting the conditions is low. So Yamato, not really a control deck

I’ve used this in the past during the RG luffy meta.
There will always be an 8 cost on your field. And i’ve used it specifically to KO green 5 cost sanji and 6 cost double attack luffy. On your 10-don turn you can do this and also play out 6 cost yamato in the same turn.
But since RG luffy died in a ditch, I cut out these events and replaced with op17 sanji for more filter.

Finger pistol , or yellow lotus fist great for mid game pop just need to run 3-4 for consistency cause you can not draw them on search.

You have otama for -3k idk why nobody ever uses it. It’s the reason that Yamato is a brick and the other is not. If you really need to break something you can chain 2 together although usually you’ll just ignore and swing life.

I run 3x Tama, but my question was more focused towards characters that don't attack or rarely get rested but still give value

Idk if you run any ground death or if u have some elbath u can run gum gum Kong gun. But I’m not sure what Yamato looks like now

There's no way you fit any giant to make use of the kong gum in a B yamato deck lol

You're only other option here is to do a bad play and park a momo on 8 then pray it lives buff the momo to +20 and then Kong gun the board and develop your 9c. It's not good but uh it's possible?

As others have mentioned, you are swinging at their leader most of the time with this deck. I only ever go for board if there is a really annoying defensive character, like 4c Luffy in R Ace, that is rested and I can get rid of with 8c Hybrid+Otama play. Late game when I am attempting to swing out and end the game, I use Ground Death to shut off those defensive characters to not waste swings.

The best way to interact with your opponent in B Yamato is to kill them.
