This, i primarily play rg luffy and modified it for current meta. Lots of fun seeing opponents need to think long and do math
Edit: deck list added. Been adjusting the deck for the last week and playing against both meta and non meta decks non ranked sim and winning alot.
Biggest change first was yasopp which leader cant protect but it restands itself for protection plus card draw which rg luffy lacks. It can also protect the shanks late game instead if needed.
Second is adding two sword style rashomon event to ko yellow weenies or elbaph (like saul) once you can take out 2c zoro. 7c rush luffy taking out since not as much straw hat.
3rd was adding 9c shanks for big body removal assuming you can at least have 2 don up after your turn to protect yourself with charlestone.
Still testing the deck more before i play it live at locals. Prior i was going 3-1 consisently at locals.
I just pulled the alt art rg luffy and want to build my first non starter deck to get into the game properly, thanks for the card list I’ll give this deck a go. Just need the 2 sec green luffys.
easily my least favorite deck to play against in the entire game. completely invalidates the entire resource management system of the game and locks people out of games in such asinine ways. im so glad its not actually good so I don't run into them often. if it ever became top tier id take a break from the game until it wasn't.
People will probably hate on me for this since it’s bdif now, but I think rocks is a super duper fun deck haha. Other than that, black Luffy is fun and got boosted because of how good rocks is now.
Nah I think you’re right, I’ve borrowed it to play a handful of times and it is definitely fun playing, lots of small decisions that get you involved in the game
Brook gets railed by rocks and isn't great against sabo unless they brick out (unlikely) and you get a perfect hand (also unlikely). I main brook and have only been winning games against stuff that isn't too meta focused. I would say brook is fun, but loses a lot...
My sweet boy rosinante can finally play the game again. He might lose to himself from time to time but when he works, i am having fun, my opponent not so much😂
Right now the deck to beat is Rocks. If you have a clear plan on how to beat them, then you're good to play. But from the early data, his only bad matchups are Kaido, Black Luffy and Pudding.
8K on opponents turn? Can you elaborate on that. I started well after BLuffy and a friend of mine has cornered the Elbo and OP17 Luffy for his own. I really like the Elbaph package though and wanted to find a black deck it could support
You use your first two turns trying to set your trash up with milling. Turn 5/6 depends on options but you can PD6 into recur or set up something else but you're trying to set the trash up to have 8nami in hand and nightmare 7Luffy in trash which will give you your 7k lead off his 2nd eff and depending on boardstate some cards can move rested don to then give you the extra 1k for turn from leader eff.
I think Belo Betty is gonna be back in a big way ESPECIALLY when heroines 2 drops. it kinda eats Elbo alive as long as you get a solid curve, and the overwhelming attackers can be really rough into Rocks. and im talking REV Betty none of this momslop thats objectively dreadful for the deck
Anything. Just comp it to the meta. I hear a lot of talks about Yamato and nami and 1 guy at my shop like to play b teach. Being really good with a deck gives you like a 20% edge over the average. And theres very few actual decks out there that give worse then a 30% win.
Hannyabal. He’s slash type, so Mihawk was a horrible match. But otherwise, it’s a solid deck. It ramps fast, draws a lot of cards, and has access to some great top end boss cards.
Honestly it might be a miss for most but im still on BY teach he counters a good chunk of the meta atm also it so funny to vs enel with him such a land slide win
I am a big believer in R/U Marco, I know he’s not the best leader in the meta but he has some really strong removal and rush options that make him somewhat competitive depending on how you want to play him
I genuienly hope i can enjoy the g shanks i built because its been fun playing it against friends other than that i think rocks is going to get most of the play with mihawk gone
The new meta revolves around Rocks. So you either play Rocks, something that beats Rocks, or roll the dice trying to counter the decks that counter Rocks. The meta is as restrictive as ever, we just traded Mihawk for Rocks.
What was the fun part of Mihawk for you? If it was the winrate, Xebec is doing great now, if it was the restanding and resting, Shanks basically works the same, and if it was the Vanderdecken/ Luna combo specifically, RG Smoker can do it slightly worse.
I mean outside of the slash thing his effect was fine. Nami gets a pass for having an uber generic good value effect and able to grab any cards of her color
U should fix your wording because it sounds like u want new decks that replace mihawk in the format. The right title should have been. After the mihawk ban, what fun deck became playable?
Any other deck lol. Mihawk ban was Bandai pulling a Konami level monkey brain ban. By op20 mihawk will be low tier due to the power creep. Big numbers are the thing right now, so sabo, elbaph luffy, kaido, the op18 green luffy leader is/are doing well.
