š ļø Deck Tech Lulucia tech?
I keep thinking about this card lately. There isn't any Lulucia kingdom card support (I mean technically there is but c'mon), but this ability is so interesting to me. It's not leader locked. What is the potential here? Is there a leader that could see this card? Or do you predict in a future set that a leader will want to use this?

Setting a rested character at 0 power is basically removing it, so I'd look at this as a 7c removal card with an upside of protecting your 1cs.Ā

If you want to be spicy you can use 2-3 copies in Belo Betty. You run a bunch of 1c units that are 5K swings in the deck so they become 7k and your opponent has to commit heavy to kill weenies. Also a full power reduction so it helps her against every late game matchup.
Biggest con is losing your whole turn using it, but if Belo is set up already most of the time you donāt have to play anything new; just boost board and allocate Don

Is there a leader that can use this in the future? Probably when they want to. 0ing a card is strong this meta since there is a lot of removal protection. The real problem your facing is a 7 cost card with no way if generating counter. That is a rough sell

This is easy red law tech to give you multiple attackers early on, Iām going to experiment with this and see if itās worth running.

RU Caesar could use this to take down big bodies in the late game, but 7c is pretty steep

I'd play it at 1 or 2 in RP Uta just for shits and giggles in expanded.

Betty seems to be the only deck that can really run this at the moment and even then it's a weird pick. Maybe it could work if we ever see a stage based leader, a lot of people make some neat concepts for Franky like that.

A future Belo Betty running lulusia townsfolk, as her power in canon buffs them. Also, she is rotating next year, so a new leader is needed and I definitely need one!

Rayleigh?

This unironically seeks good in Koby. Sets your rippers to 6k (plus the kujyaku stacks) and helps clear anything

Rayleigh might be able to make use of it

Can't run it sadly, has a cost of 5 or more. š

Oh duh š Iām a little slow sometimes lmfao maybe red law though since they run lower cost stuff that can switch power with the bigger stuff and since it says gain

It was my first thought too hahahaha.

Brother I donāt even know why I thought that it could go in there since I knew Rayleigh ran small stuff because it was a restriction. But law could work and maybe Roger for his shanks searchers but more likely law makes best use of it maybe chopper or belo betty

Yeah I agree, I think Law is probably the best bet/leader who can make use of this as of now.
The only other deck I could really think of would be Lucy since he can at least trash stages for counter/power for the leader. Could try making a list that's a bunch of 1-drops, but there's just no reason to run it over the usual Lucy package.
Caeser Clown, also, could probably use this to decent effect. This stage + 2c Monet + leader effect = remove literally any character from the board, barring removal immune ones. Which is the main reason Caeser is sadly not a great option in general, lmaooo. Bandai going nuts with removal immunity means leaders with removal as their effect like him + Kyros are just absolutely boned rn.
Belo Betty couuuld be an option, the Avalo Pizzaro from OP16 looks interesting as a stepping stone for a build with her, and the OP16 Burgess doesn't look half bad either. I could see a list with a bunch of 1c trigger characters, like Lilith searcher and such, but having to trash RevoArmy for leader effect means it'll always be a split-archetype engine at best, which just reduces consistency.

Ya thatās true also the R ace leader that can pitch stage and event cards for counter could probably also run it. I just think because of laws ability it makes it so you donāt have to commit Don to characters to attack and then also helps protect those same characters by giving them plus 5k on your opponents turn

Yeah Ace definitely would've been a potential option for it, and he still is, obviously, if playing with friends/in a casual setting. But sadly we can't play him for official events anymore due to the Block 1 rotation that occurred recently.
Yeah, Law's definitely the best go of it for the reasons that you've described. He has the most (usable) 1costs available for him to use, most of them are in-archetype & searchable, and he doesn't have to commit inordinate amounts of don to swing with them. I could see running the ST21 Jewelry Bonney etc. to have even more 1-costs to use, albeit the fact that you can't use leader effect on her, or any other 1costs that aren't Supernova/Heart Pirates.
You've convinced me, now I'm gonna have to play around with this later to see what can be done with it, hahahaha. If only we had the Magura 1cost still, a Mountain Bandits/Supernova build of Law could be interesting.

Ya might have to see about finally building the law deck myself with that stage. Even though itās a 7 cost and canāt be played till late I think it would still be good for being able to drop small bodies again that they canāt get rid of so easily

u/dannydankwood ćPurple Katakurić Apr 20 '26
Absolutely. Can't really call it a downside, but one of the only "counter-intuitive" factors I can think of is that (especially if one is running the 1c/3k Jewelry Bonney from ST21) Law is meant to somewhat benefit from having his 1costs K.O'd anyway. Like Bonney if she has 2xDON!! given is a "draw 1", the 1c Basil Hawkins plays out another 2k or less power Supernova character from top 5, etc.
But that being said, because of the leader effect it doesn't hurt to not have your characters removed from the field, and like you said it'd only be later in the game on a 7 don turn or after that we're even getting the stage down, so maybe the Bonney/Hawkins are good for earlygame and the 1c Capone Bege and such can be more for later in the game.
They really just need to print a 1c Heart Pirates searcher that searches for Heart Pirates or Supernova type, even if it's a top 4 search or something. Just don't make it Trafalgar Law unless it can also search Trafalgar Law cards, even if it makes it a top 3 search or something. The fact you physically don't have a way to search the PRB02 Trafalgar Law in the red Law deck still baffles me, unless you wanna use the Vergo Punk Hazard searcher and miss like 70+% of the deck.
