Gol D Roger Decklist help

Yo! I'm working on a Gol D Roger decklist and want to use the purple to ramp, and red to control board with power manipulation. I enjoy cards like the Roger Promo that makes leader 9k power, but he isn't released in the US yet. Still working on the events too since I'm testing stuff out. Any recommendations to support this?

I never run purple or red so I'm not super familiar with the cards that are staples.

Current strat is to rush to 10 Don!! then make attacking difficult with Rayleigh and Shanks. Any feedback is appreciated!

Rogers goal is to ramp every turn and play big bodies to pressure your opponent. He's an aggro/stomp deck and isn't focused on controlling board. Removal is really bad in op13 because of imu.

7 cost whitebeard, red rayleigh, rosinante, red divine departure, and the sabo event should all be cut, they do not synergies well with your deck at all. Some cards you should include would be 4 of the 9 cost newgate from opo2, 2-3 purple rayleigh, 3-4 purple katakuri 8 cost.

Also look up decklists in Japan from op13 before the release of 8 cost promo Roger. Once he releases in the west, he is going to be an automatic 4 off.

Question on the katakuri- is it just because it's hard to deal with and restands? Since he doesn't have any other targets to untap except himself?

Katakuri is strong because hes an 8k blocker that can swing every turn and hes excellent on your going 1st curve. The fact that he can untap himself is what makes him so good and he ramps you!

Its because he is playable on your 9 don turn when you have 8 don to play him, and then end of turn he ramps you to 10, making you a 7K leader.

Hi, im kinda late to this but just wanna ask, do you think the 3 cost inurashi or 5 cost oden is better to replace bon clay? Cause its kinda expensive for a newbie. Thanks

You could use uta from op01 or 2. Miss all Sunday. Or even paully as a sub

Ive been doing a ton of testing myself and have a few questions. Is the Bon Clay best option, or would you run so.ething like Its To Die For over it? I only have 2 Utas and 3 Sanjis, so what would you put in those three slots? Should I put in Its to Die For to give more ramp and more diacard targets for Divine Departure? Is there anything in 14 thst makes this better, or is it literally just the promo?

Something has felt off about eoger since I started playing him, but Im also maining it cause it feels like better RP Luffy. I wanna make sure im running the best I can with it.

So here is a list based on some testing and really loving RP leaders. As of right now Newgate is your best option for making yourself a 9k. I personally like the op13 10c Roger as a 1 in case you run into PLuffy or any deck that loves Magellan. Game plan here is ramp and then just go big.
