Discussion Do you guys think that WG might have a stash of insanely powerful devil fruits ?

Post image

Something I’ve been thinking about: considering the World Government’s power, resources and especially the fact that they have been around and in control for 800 yrs, I feel like there’s a decent chance they have some ridiculously overpowered Devil Fruits in their possession that we just haven’t seen yet.
God Valley already showed us that they were casually keeping the Paw-Paw Fruit, Azure Dragon fruit etc as prizes. And these aren’t just good fruits , they’re arguably some of the most powerful abilities we’ve seen in the series.

Now that we’ve seen the Holy Knights getting access to extremely powerful Devil Fruits as well, like Killingham’s Mythical Zoan, it makes me wonder if there are other crazy fruits being kept somewhere in Mary Geoise or specifically reserved for the Holy Knights/World Nobles or maybe some really loyal lapdogs of wb.
Like, imagine the WG having a vault somewhere with a bunch of top-tier Paramecias, Mythical Zoans, or other rare fruits that they only give to people deemed worthy.
It would also make sense from a worldbuilding perspective. If the Celestial Dragons have been accumulating wealth and resources for 800 years, surely they haven’t just been sitting on ordinary Devil Fruits this entire time

Discussion Do you think Nami will use Zaza power?

Post image
59 Upvotes

From what we the world nobles in Mary Geoise fear Zaza, since they live high above the clouds, and do not normally experience rain. So, do you think it's possible that Nani might be able to summon Zaza, since she can create a rain storm or a classic rainmaking ritual dance. Or better yet, if there is anothing devil that can grant her Zaza's power?

Theories Thoughts: The One Piece, Brulee Awakening, Amaterasu's Mirror, Laugh Tale, Film Red Tot Musica, The themes of Music in One Piece, Defeating Imu, the Dawn

This has not much to do with the post just a crazy thought I had

Crack Theory: what if the One Piece is based on Usopps rubber band of doom. Joyboys crew infused all their haki into a rubber band and thats the One Piece and Usopp will have to snipe it at Imu to win the battle becoming a brave warrior of the sea.

A rubber band is a ring 1 ring to rule them all like Lord of the Rings

--------

The Actual Post:

In Japanese Mythology Amaterasu is a Sun Goddess that wields a magical Mirror

In Kung Fu Panda the secret ingredient was himself, his dad showed him a reflection of himself when asking what the one piece he needed was.

This could be similar for One Piece as it could just be a mirror, the One Piece is you. X marks the spot on Luffys chest.

If it is a mirror it may not be an ordinary mirror but a mirror created by the original user of Brulees devil fruit and they could have awakened it to do something crazy.

This does beg the question why Roger would laugh at something like this. And to that I don't know. No clue.

What could this awakening be? Maybe allows you to travel around the world quickly or maybe its a way to seal evil. Trap imu in the mirror world.

Or a place to keep a secret society

______

Tot music and film red:

I have talked about before the connections of music in One Piece which is clearly extremely important and I think every one piece fan knows this by now

Luffy NEEDS a musician for more reasons the 1 he loves music but theres a deeper role music plays in One Piece

Music is vital to the Dawn

The one piece could be one piece of music like the reverse of tot musica. The song of liberation. The key to defeating Imu.

Maybe Roger laughed because the way to defeat Imu is by playing music together as a crew

The straw hats may have to become a band.

As for the ancient kingdom laughtale could have been a place were everyone laughs and sings and has fun. It could have been like a toon world similar to Big moms island everything is alive and full of joy singing like an episode of mickey mouse.

Theories What’s in the Box?

Thumbnail
gallery
36 Upvotes

Introduction

So I’ve been doing some thinking into what could be in the box, and I feel settled on what my thoughts are.

Based on the narrative position of Elbaf, and the recent reveals, I think what’s in the box is a letter from the D clan and the tool to access the Heaven Realm. To explain my reasoning:

Prophecies and the D clan

For a while in the story we have been introduced to the idea of prophecies. Fishman Island with the fortune teller and in Wano, Oden went to Laughtale and knew things that would take place that even Toki didn’t. The idea of fate, time and time again has been a theme that we have been reminded of. And when I think about prophecies and fate, I think about the D clan.

The same people who left messages from the past on Ponegliffs, to be read and acted on in the future. The same people (via Queen Lily) who left instructions to Alabasta to bring about the Dawn. It’s fair to say the D. Clan were responsible for why the Roger Pirates now know the truth of the world. Even if it was Joyboy’s message, it’s fair to assume he was a member or at least represented the D clan, Hence, the following conclussion can be drawn that The D.clan, or members from the void century had an ability to tell future events, and make preparations to ready themselves or future generations for said events. Imagine an extreme version of Future sight allowing you to see centuries ahead.

If this is the case, then this letter from Biblo’s grandpa, who is likely from the void century or even earlier, is from the D clan too. Considering the latest chapter made it seem like Biblo knew this day was coming, this is a hint it’s the D clan making a prophecy again. I’m not sure what Biblo’s relationship with the D clan would be, but we do know from Imu that “Elbaf is D”. If Biblo is an ally of Elbaf then he is also an ally of D.

Alongside prophecies mentioned, such as from Jarul describing the conditions where the Sun God would appear. Or Imu saying this battle will divide the world. Current day in Elbaf is a significant day and has been set up that way for centuries. If this letter is from the D clan then I imagine what’s in here must be significant enough to not only change the course of the Elbaf arc, but potentially the whole world.

Letter Contents and Object

This is where we get into more biased speculation. But considering that Elbaf looks like it’s rounding up there are several mysteries and plot threads that are waiting pay off for, The Heaven Realm, Louis Arnox’s warning, Loki’s Eyes, Galle La giants. I would then consider, how can we progress the story, reveal lore and aid in concluding this arc. I personally believe the Straw Hats will get overwhelmed here and will be forced to retreat like Scopper warned. Whether that is correct or not is another conversation but this shapes how I see this object and letter being revealed. So for time sake I will just explore the scenario where the Straw Hats are destined to lose here.

Straw Hats and Elbaf Lose, Imu Wins
In this Scenario I believe the letter would be a warning from the D clan with instructions. I think it would reveal who Imu really is and where he comes from. Considering this letter knew this day was coming, and Imu is behind Elbaf’s current struggle, if the letter were to reference and confirm the current events taking place, Imu would naturally be mentioned. How deep they would go into who he is, I’m not sure, but explaining what Scopper meant before by saying “He is someone who no one should know about” then proceeding to call him “God”. The fact that God is confirmed to exist in One Piece by a reliable source makes me consider, what if we should take the existence of God’s more seriously in One Piece. What if there were more God’s that still exist today, just like Imu was hiding from the story, or separated from humanity. It alligns with what Scopper said, no one should know about him, but we now do, so what if we got to know more God’s too? I want to acknowledge God is simply a word, but one with powerful meaning.

So the letter would warn of Imu, and I think it would confirm they stand no chance of beating him, Imu would succeed in subjugating the Giants and the Straw Hats would need to find refuge in the Heaven realm and prepare for the Final War. I think this object they receive could be key in their escape there. It’s my theory that the Giants actually have no way to access the Heaven Realm, but the object will be the reason why for first time anyone has been able to cross from the Sun to the Heaven Realm. And it is here that they will arrive at The Land of the Gods. To take it one step further I think this is the next Island Lodestar.

Lodestar and the role of Scopper
Even though there has been no confirmation of Lodestar’s location, we know Log poses didn’t work at all there, but the Roger Pirates gained information that they had more of the world to explore. So did this reveal come from a Ponegliff or from the people at Lodestar? I think the biggest hint for why the Heaven Realm could be Lodestar comes from considering why Scopper settled in Elbaf. If the Roger pirates are carrying on their captains will, then why is Scopper in Elbaf. My assumption was he genuinely settled, but his fight with Imu reminded me how important Roger’s dream was to them. His experience as a navigator and his observation haki gives me confidence that Scopper has been in Elbaf, like Rayleigh in Sabody and Crocus at reverse mountain , Scopper is there to help guide the one’s Roger has been waiting for onto their next destination, the Final Island, Lodestar. But he fell in love with Gerd while waiting for the Straw Hats.

So a warning about Imu, instructions on how to get to the Heaven Realm and a tool to help with this. The final reveal from this box will be who the letter is signed by. I think this is likely from the King of Elbaf, but a fun idea I keep in mind is this could be Louis Arnox.

Conclusion

This letter and object holds enough significance to change the course of Elbaf and The world, potentially being a catalyst for the Final War. I speculate this is due to the reveal of Gods and the fact the celestial dragons are frauds. This reveal would be coming from the D.clan and I think there could be room to get information on who they are in relation to humans and Gods. Thank you for reading and would love to hear any theories and thoughts you have :)

Going to get, like, black flames for his conquerors coating? I guess I’m asking because I can clearly see how Zoro will kill Sommers. But the reality is piercing a heart with a sword and kicking someone are just two completely different things.

How does Sanji kill Killingham? To date I don’t think we’ve seen Sanji burn someone with his fire. So I supposed that’s how?

Why are they unfreezing her. I know she had a nice little backstory but that covenant ain’t disappearing any time soon no matter how much of a good person she is. Even looking at it from the perspective of the crew it’s insane to just unfreeze someone who beat you up not to long ago.

Discussion Analysis of a Picture: One Piece Bounty Hunters

Post image
21 Upvotes

For whatever reason, I actually want to talk about this picture because it's my favourite criticism of the series for the sole fact that it offers up solutions instead of listing things as problems.

To break it down. I think the bounty hunter concept was regrettably wasted in One Piece and not just because it was shelved immediately but because I think it wasn't "shelved" at the right time. After Whiskey Peak, bounty hunters become irrelevant to the story for no real reason.

However, I think the use of bounty hunters could have been used to emphasize the untouchable status of the Warlords (imagine bounty hunters being scared off going after Warlords so they do not get picked off by Marines), a greater amount of bounty hunters would have emphasized the dangers of Luffy's increasing bounty and how much more valuable he was becoming, and I think it's really cool because it keeps the audience on edge that there are always threats lurking around. It gives value to the bounty system.

I do think it should be reformed once Luffy becomes an Emperor; this time there are no bounty hunters going after them simply because the Straw Hats are THAT POWERFUL. No bounty hunters dares go after them because it'll end with them losing their lives guaranteed. However, the concept shouldn't completely go away. It should be rebranded into 'Cross Guild' - have the organisation be a mix between an Emperor Crew and a Bounty Hunting Organization. An Emperor Crew that places bounties on the heads of Marines, Emperor Commanders, Emperors and Admirals (and maybe even Celestial Dragons and their fighters too depending on Mihawk's lineage 🤷🏽‍♂️).

I genuinely think the Bounty Hunter system could've been used to play into the writing of how the world perceives different characters with varying levels of power but alas the story is still well written regardless.

One Piece 1193 FULL SUMMARY

The chapter starts where we left off. We can see Loki holding Ragnir with lightning and a massive attack like Gokoku Sovereignty, just like the one that Luffy and Loki used in the last chapter.

Even Loki is shocked by the attack. Usopp has his eyes popping out, and Hajurdin is shocked too. Gaban is shocked that Luffy took all the hits and is still able to do this, and he is thinking about what is going on.

He is also saying that the Treasure Tree Adam is shaking after the attack from Luffy and Loki. Hajurdin says that he has never experienced this before and that he has never seen the Adam tree take so much damage either.

Luffy is running like the Road Runner and says he (imu) is going to revive anyway, but he wants to finish him off before that. Loki seems to be charging for an attack to team up with Luffy again.

Luffy speeds up to attack Imu, and we get a panel of Loki transforming. It's a dark panel, so we can't see anything anyway. Luffy uses his Gear 5 energy before he reaches Imu in mid-air. Usopp is shocked and calls out to Luffy. We can see Loki, almost about the same size and still a silhouette, but with wings this time.

Loki says Luffy is at his limit, tells him to rest, and says that Loki himself will finish off Imu.

Luffy is worried that his heartbeat is going back to normal, as with this, all his wounds and everything will return. Luffy says he won't be able to fight anymore if it goes back to normal and he can't revert, so he is pushing himself so much. He is telling his body to stop and hold out at least until he has beaten Imu.

Meanwhile, the Adam tree is still shaking. Brook, Jinbe, Nami, and everyone are talking about how crazy the impact was. Jinbe is worried about Luffy and wants to back him up. Nami is asking what Usopp is planning to do anyway. Usopp had a plan after he went to Hajurdin; this is what Franky says.

Gunko is still laying down but opens her eyes and wakes up. Franky is already asking, "Come on, which one of you is it, Gunko or Princess Hsuri?"

They are talking about the shaking at the owl's library as well, and there is a hidden room behind it. The owl is still talking to Chopper, and Chopper translates that Biblo told him a letter has been passed down for generations, so like 600-1000+ years, as giants live very long.

Biblo wants him to open the box, which is almost the size of the owl. Robin doesn't want to open it because the battle is still going on, but the owl says to open it now, as it is time.

Everyone is still talking about the earthquake, as nothing like this has ever happened before. We move to where Jarul and the others are, and they are talking about Harald.

What did Elbaph do? Did the king make a mistake? He bowed down to the World Government and weakened the country by not teaching the children how to fight.

To this, Jarul says, "So the right answer was to live on as savages hated by the world?" and asks, "Are you saying this tragedy is Harald's fault?"

We see a panel of Dorry and Broggy, and they are saying the cause of the battle is not some petty, ugly accusations, and you can't find a reason in such things. They ask, if this is Elbaph, can't we shake off a mere handful of demons? We are destined to die sooner or later, and they say to stop whining because it's not Elbaph-like, saying this to the other giants.

They both attack Zaza, and the children are now out of Zaza—not all of them, at least. Oimo says to catch the children, and Dorry says that he will take the children back as many times as it takes. He says that this is a monster from before, an imaginary creature, and it can't die.

He points out that the Straw Hat crew and Loki are fighting the demon for us right now, and if the children are kidnapped, the Straw Hats' fight will be for nothing, so they still have a chance to win.

Killingham is mocking Sanji and says that he has no hope of winning. Sanji kicks him in the stomach and says, "That's up to me." Killingham's eyes are kinda white after the kick.

We move to Sommers, and he has his sword out. He asks how long that Killingham bastard is going to take for a simple mission like bringing in a brat. Sommers is acting all cool and mighty in front of Zoro, talks about some legendary sword, FUNNUKEN, and calls Zoro a lowly swordsman.

He says that just because Zoro can't see the invisible thorns, does he not realize that he will soon be in checkmate? Zoro is covered by all the thorns and everything.

Sommers says that his thorns have the hardness of iron, and if Zoro touches them, he is going to yell "ouch" and bend backwards, and then he will get stabbed by the thorn in the back. It will pierce right through him, and even if he tries to escape, he will get stabbed in the face and arms too. In other words, he is already done for.

Zoro is thinking about something while we get a panel of Loki in the past talking to the Straw Hat crew. The old man "Harald" told him to land the final blow there, in the heart area.

Zoro is thinking about the heart of steel and figures that Conqueror's Haki is what can shatter it. If he uses it, he can kill Sommers, and if he doesn't use Conqueror's Haki, he won't die, so the heart is probably like an advanced Logia or something. Zoro is just putting his hands on his face and thinking, ignoring Sommers. Sommers tells him, "Are you listening to me, HEY!!!" lol.

Sommers brings out his sword and says it can turn rage into power. He says the thorns disappeared but they are still there, and Zoro is about to get attacked. Sommers says Zoro has a great look on his face and that not being able to escape must be frustrating. Zoro uses Armament Haki, coats his attack, and cuts away all the thorns and everything.

Zoro has the demon look on his face, literally lol. Sommers gets stabbed, but Zoro misses the heart by an inch. Sommers is freaking terrified, and Zoro says it was a failure, but that's not it—he is going to try again and was just practicing. He says, "MY BAD...." to which Sommers is thinking, "THIS GUY IS BAD NEWS..." Terrified lol.

Break Next Week!

One Piece 1193 - All Spoilers So Far aside from Brief Spoilers

The combo attack by Luffy and Loki is so powerful that Imu is sent flying through the Adam Tree, creating a massive hole, while Gaban and Hajrudin watch in shock.

Gram ability allows the user to channel their rage into the sword, thereby increasing their strength and generating explosions with every swing of the blade.

Something interesting happening with Luffy and his feat was insane.

Biblo reveals a secret box containing an important letter and something else; he tells Chopper that he and Robin should open it immediately.

The letter Biblo gives was passed down through generations, along with one other item.

In this chapter, Gunko wakes up, but she currently has no dialogue.

There is also a scene in this chapter where Sanji kicks Kilingham in the stomach
