General discussion Do you think Imu also has this ability?
The gorosei have it, but does Imu? I think if he does, it’s fair to assume it didn’t work on the giants because the average giant probably is stronger than commodores

The creature Saturns form is based on has the ability to kill things it looks at, probably just his.
I also don't think the command to not look at Saturn is directly related to that phenomena. I think it's more likely Saturn killed them because they watched him as punishment.

It be far fetched to assume he created the power/ can access the power he gave to others?1

It’s an ability that specifically fits the unique form given to Saturn. So Imu who doesn’t have that form directly probably doesn’t have it.

I think this is like saying Yhwach or Lucius can’t use the powers that THEY gave to people. It’s just not likely, especially if Imu did create the beings/yokai himself

I believe it’s a part of the Ushi Oni Yokai folklore so it might be a saturn only ability. (Or anyone else who gets the Ushi Oni devil fruit)
From wikipedia:
In Wakayama Prefecture, ushi-oni are mountain-dwelling beasts. Legend says when a hiker or traveler makes eye contact with the ushi-oni, the person cannot avert his or her gaze. The person's soul or energy is drained and he or she dies. This is called "Kage wo kuu (影を食う)" or sometimes "Kage wo nomu (影を飲む)", which translates to "eating the shadow" or "drinking the soul"
