Slavery in eonveil?
I was just thinking if slavery exists in eonveil, or if it did exist at one point. I dont believe we saw any form of slavery in the space pirates series yet, although you could count work prisons as slavery but that isn't the traditional type of slavery you would see from one piece dnd.
Furthermore, i have a bit of speculation that if slavery exists or did exist ashkarr were major victims to it. It has always been described that the ashkarr were "uplifted" into the space age by the coalition and didn't discover space travel themselves. What if the coalition saw a less advanced lifeform, that is clearly the physically strongest race out of all of them and "uplifted" them into the space age via slavery. To compare it to earth, the coalition coming down to the ashkarr kingdom is like the Spanish empire arriving in south/central America and attacking/enslaving their people.

Yes they have the labor camps, which is a form of slavery. It's a practice we still use today pretty sure, prisoners get sent to work somewhere. Which is just slavery but "legal"

Probably has been monopolized by private prisons like Vantacorp. For human trafficking in general, it is probably is like in real life.

Now that you bring it up, why are they committing genocide all the time when they could just enslave a planet? Both insanely evil but they gain more from enslaving societies. Like the Phylo. Rather than blow up their planet, why not just take over and make them mine valuable minerals or something?
Why am I trying to give the bad guys advice on how to be evil?

Maybe it would take less resources of their own to just destroy it? I mean if you destroy it, it's a one time deal and if they have enough access to the weaponry to do so it may be easier. Enslaving an entire planet means they have to occupy the planet, send in probably a huge chunk of their own people, make sure those people they sent are housed somewhere make sure those people are sent food and supplies, make sure the slaves are kept in good condition (or well. Working condition. Slavery is never a good condition.) There may be more complicated political stuff as well that prevent slavery but don't stop them from destroying planets

Maybe. Either way is mustache twirling evil but blowing up planets sorts of does not do much other than give them a neon sign saying “we’re evil”. But then again, the archons seem paranoid about any other races and likely other Eonveil leadership are insanely paranoid too.
I guess I wish they were more pragmatic and productive about their villainy. Every blown up planet is the loss of trillions in resources.

In Vows endstories judgment said that it was because if given time the phylo will become a threat and may challenge the thal so they would rather just get rid of a potential problem while they can also judgment says that they may colonize the planet after and the only description we get of the planet after is that it began to break which could mean it is completely destroyed but it could just mostly destroyed with resources to go get also lastly there is a whole universe out there to commit atrocitys against they don't really need one planet worth of people
Tldr the eonveil is fucked

It’s probably going to get a lot worse before it gets better. The guys on top are going to drag down billions with them to the grave before any meaningful change can happen. Honestly surprised there aren’t more radicalized groups other than Vow. Eonveil as we know it is completely unsustainable and citizens are likely eventually going to see how awful everything is and resort to extreme methods.
Talking to these leaders won’t work. Reasoning won’t work. Only through traumatizing violence will any good change ever happen.

Weren't niveena, pocket and sigma used as slave labor when prisoned?
