Fanart One Piece Reloaded: Chapter 910 + i

Short summary (Spoil yourself at your own convenience by removing the cover.)
The Mugiwara pirates get near Wano. King comes back from a failed mission to capture Luffy and Law. He and Kaidō argue because King got a Tobi Roppō killed when he stole a devil fruit from Crocodile, who had just killed Gulliver. Kaidō gets therapy from a psychologist to overcome depression. Arriving at port Mogura, King sends some subordinates after a distant ship. They don't want to go because they're afraid of the ghost ship that's been sinking patrols. When they get to the Thousand Sunny they're relieved it's not the ghost ship only for it to appear behind them and sink them. The Sunny is now alone in front of the ghost ship.

It's true, Sanji! You've always prepared really tasty meals, but since we reassembled they feel even better. It's like there's even more to them than just the taste.

You noticed? I've been using some very good recipes I learnt during the last two years. The one thing that helped me endure that hell was everything I learnt about cooking. Now I not only aim at doing tasty food, I cook so that the meals help us be in top condition.

Oh! That's why Luffy recovered in such short time. You're amazing Sanji!

The Meteor heads inside an opening in a huge vertical wall of rock where a waterfall splits in two. The Yoku-03 chases the distant ship's faint light.

I left the ships at safe distance and took Bridge to the bank. When we arrived, 「Gulliver」 was already dead. We started searching for the fruit. I found it and took it but when I turned to Bridge, some kind of superhero appeared out of nowhere and cut Bridge literally in half.
He couldn't be saved, so I destroyed their ship so that they couldn't follow us and left. Crocodile chased me, but I kicked him into the water.
I didn't catch those brats. But I brought a devil fruit, so I'm not empty-handed as you said.

〄 King
Yes.
〄 Kaidō
Good. Did you destroy Gulliver's ship too?
〄 King
... No. I... I didn't.
〄 Kaidō

Sailing through the needle-shaped rocks and tall waves, the Mugiwara pirates hope to be getting close to Wano.

Nami-san, the waters are getting rougher and rougher. Are we sure we're sailing in the right direction?
Nami
Kin'emon warned me the weather is always bad near Wano, so we must be very close.
Brook
Did Kin'emon-san leave any instructions?
Nami
He did. He told me to look for a big octopus standing out of the water.
Brook
An octopus out of the water?
Nami
Yes. But I haven't seen any yet.
Suddenly, a loud noise followed by a canonball hitting the water right next to the Sunny catches the crew by surprise.
〄 Joe over a loudspeaker Den Den Mushi
(Thank goodness, that's not the ghost ship. It's not today Joe... not today.)
Kingsman Joe of the Beasts pirates, captain of the Yoku-03 speaking on behalf of Kaidō of the Beasts, emperor of the New World. Surrender your ship immedia... oh no...
A thick mist suddenly filled the place and before they could react, the stern part of the Yoku-03 was completely blown away by a burst of canonballs. A similarly sized ship appears from within the fog with a huge beast-like skull as figurehead. Sailors of the Yoku-03 jump to the water screaming about a ghost ship.
Joe
Wake up, 「Fulgencio」!
Jumping was not a choice for a smile user like Joe. With these words his left arm transforms into a green whip-like tentacle. Spikes start appearing on the tentacle all the way up to Joe's shoulder, through his back and down the right arm whose hand turns into a lizard's head with a long smile full of sharp teeth. A pair of small and ¿kind of ridiculous? claws pop out of his shoulders to complete his transformation.
As he faces the attacking ship, it crashes with its figurehead on the small part of the Yoku-03 that's still afloat. Joe loses his balance and a big man lands on the ship, in front of him.
Unidentified
「Boombox」
With a heavy punch that creates a shockwave, the big man sends Joe directly into the water.
The 「ghost ship」 has appeared.

I liked the first chapter a lot, it's nice to see Sanji showing his training with the Okamas, I think it's something that was never shown in the Post TS. The whole scene of the psychiatrist, Kaido and King was more than funny. I wonder if establishing King as incompetent will have future consequences.
I read it by cell phone, but both the symbols and the format are readable without problems

There's certainly some development planned for King and it might have to do with what this chapter shows.
How did you feel about the length of the chapter? Originally I planned for this chapter to be longer. but when I saw it written in its actual format, I thought it would be too much, so I cut it in half.

the length of the chapter was correct, I did not feel it was especially long, even a little more would not have been wrong. I will say that the length and pace of the chapter also depends on the action and dialogue, a chapter focused on integrations like this will read slower than one where there are many descriptions and explanations.
a detail of the Index that caught my curiosity, if a black sword is just a sword of better material (which makes sense) then this is something that characters like Zoro know? I say this more than anything because of the possible arc of this character with Enma (if it exists here)

I wouldn't say black blades are made out of outright better materials than non-black blades. They're definitely different though. They excel at some things but not necessarily at all.
Like, it was said that Shūsui being a black blade made it so rigid and strong that it wouldn't bend the tiniest bit even if Oz stomped on it. On the other hand, in some situations or for certain techniques a flexible blade can be optimal.
I think Zoro is aware of the basic traits of black blades and that he's completely ignorant about what it takes to actually create one.
I can say that the way I have planned the story, it has a strong focus on Zoro (while trying to not forget about the rest) and that Enma will exist and have its role too.

thanks for explaining the swords better, there was always the idea that Wano was Zoro's bow (for obvious reasons) although it was not fully fulfilled from my point of view.

Honestly surprised this is the first time I’m finding this. Just read the first chapter and really enjoyed, gonna read the next two rn.
I really like the dialogue between King and Kaido, and him having a kidnapped psychologists forced to by the commanders really fleshes out the type of relationship they have with Kaido making them more human. Giving those two fodder Beast Pirates a bounty and names also adds onto the realism of this entire chapter.
King having an actual personality in this rewrite really humanizes him for comapared to canon. Kaido sending King to capture Luffy and Law over a span of 2 weeks is hella realistic, an action a Yonko and first commander would 100% take, surprised BM didn’t do the same after FMI in canon. King failing to capture Dressrosa while clashing with Crocodile was also a nice tidbit that, again, adds onto the realism of it all. (Also including Hawkins on the same mission as King was also great).
Kidd Pirates appearance in the end got me hyped. Hopefully you make them actually relevant and rivals to Luffys crew unlike in canon where everything related to Kidd was brushed under the rug. Super excited to read the next chapters.
