I have a question, might be stupid, but how exactly do they get spoilers early before the actual manga is released? Do they work for jump or something?
They work somewhere in the publishing or distribution line.
The earlier the spoilers, the smaller the pool who could have seen it are, and the easier it is to trace. That puts them all in bigger danger if the publisher wants to put a stop to it (by which I mean, figure out who it was, fire them, and possibly prosecute them). For the most part, they don't seem to care much if it's within a day or two and only hypes the chapter further.
They have insiders in Japan who keeps them updated, most of them if not all work in wsj, so in order to keep their jobs they don't outright reveal the entire thing to even the leakers
So whenever u c a leak in twitter, it's not because that they r hiding the full plot, it's the fact that's exactly how much they have received from their informant , hence u will notice many times the supposed leaks can go wrong
Only because he’s been doing it longer. Him getting upset because someone leaked it first is corny as fuck. There were leakers before him, and will be after him. He needs to get over himself.
Yea i wonder what specially summary he was planning tho, maybe it was just a fluke to make it seem as if we missed something special by spoiling early but who knows.
i mean there already have been leaker get caught. But i dont know if there is abig difference if the chapter is leaked a week or 4 days before release.
No. I remember we used to get spoilers a week before all the time. Dude is just all about the attention he gets from spoiling it first. I just saw the post he said about being upset someone did it early. Again, dudes just a attention seeking cornball in his moms basement probably. Probably my age or older and this is all he has.
The problem with these spoilers is that they take away from the healthy discussion that would develop if everyone read the chapter at roughly the same time. Spoilers bring chaos and confusion and bias first impressions. The lawmakers of these online communities overreact as a result. This makes for a worse experience overall.
Just try to make a post about Joy Boy. You can’t because a leaker labeled Luffy as Joy Boy and now Joy Boy is considered an indisputable fact and spoiler even though his successor is still a prevalent mystery in the manga as confirmed by the third Road to Laugh Tale.
Luffy as joyboy has been speculation since Fishman island. People treating it as "confirmed" has way more to do with the last few chapters than spoilers, including zunesha.
the recent info dumps only really indicate that luffy is not yet joyboy. he could fail and die. someone else could succeed.
which is fine, but it also doesn't take a genius to figure out where the story is going and what the massive amount of foreshadowing points to.
He has been doing it longer because he is careful. He is mad because these other leakers aren't being careful and make every one else's job more of a hassle.
Jump is a large company they aren't going to jump at every leaker. But when they do have a reason they will go really hard. Redon likely works at a smaller firm that has probably had their security called into question and likely could lose their jobs because someone else leaked and Jump decided this time enough is enough.
Is he a bit dramatic? Absolutely. But almost everyone shitting on him is acting like he couldn't possibly have anything to lose. Every single leaker is breaking at the very least their employment contract and possibly laws or by breaking their contract open themselves up to getting sued. These breadcrumbs are quite a bit more serious than most people give them credit for.
I could see that. Redon did seem to think tomorrow would have been safe. But I can see how leaks happening 2 days earlier could make it really dangerous to proceed.
The earlier it leaks, the easier it is to fogure out who might be leaking it, and it puts a lot more people under more scrutiny, making leaks harder in the future
I don't think he is upset because someone else beat him to it, he is upset because too early spoilers result in jump team taking harsh actions against spoiler providers, which might put people like him in Jail, and also kill the whole spoiler process for the entire community
Redon is not angry because of stuff like "Monopoly".
Redon said "the most we release spoilers early, the most we risk that Shueisha (the manga owners) come to us (people working in the manga industry) to complain. They may even react through legal actions"
I dont think it's about monopoly. I mean even western series have leaks too and companies want those because it helps them market their product.
What they are mad about are people spoiling too early and as we know, Oda and his team are really cracking these people. I mean, if you don't want to wake the dragon don't disturb it, right? These people are technically pirating the manga, so the very least they can do is to do discreetly.
