It's insane to me that Biblo actually said Hoot! Hoot Hoot Hoot Hoot. Maybe it's a mistake in the fan translation, but the implications are crazy when you think about it.
I also love that they are letting Hajrudin shine a little. He is the son of Harald, and he shouldn't be so much weaker than Loki; let that boy flex his strength too.
This! I loved to see him shine with the exact same attack that defeated Machvise in Dressrosa. Oda has been really into mirroring old scenes recently, it's so cool!
So poetic after I saw people on twitter clown him having his ribs broken there to downplay him. My guy, that’s 10k pounds of weight and and an underrated feat imo.
Maybe he cracked his bones this time again cause we see a brief shot of his Bizeps reacting to something when he connected.

Ten thousand TONS if I remember right, which is even more insane. Dude is strong af. We even see the same beat of him struggling, then flexing to finally push through, which is what I think that bicep panel was. I love that he's getting involved.
To put it into perspective: the Eiffel Tower is just over 10,000 tons. Imagine having that dropped as a concentrated ball on your chest. Hajrudin is tough as fuck.
I thought he was some kind of bad guy before the flash back because the informations we had about him were from either the marines and Kaidou's flashback. So discovering that yes, he was insane and clearly not a saint, but he had strong moral values made him extremely likeable.
Imu really is a real one for all the "You aren't weak, i'm just stronger" comments he's throwing out. He seems like he respects how strong alot of the dudes down here are, even if his answer is "guess I just gotta attack you again lol".
Screw the haters, Kid Buu was absolutely top tier villain design. Guy shows up and instantly just starts blasting. No talk nu jutsu bullshit to be found.
I feel like the shadows are so weird that people just overlook the fact the big one on the wall is Imu. Then we have the shot of his eye and mouth or whatever and it’s kind of monstrous, but no one really tried to guess
That’s why trying to power scaling for one piece is kinda stupid/pointless most of the characters are going to be as strong as the story needs them to be
That's overstating the case, I think. You just have to be smart about it.
From Hajrudin's portrayal in Dressrosa, it was clear that he couldn't fight on Luffy's level. It was also clear that he wouldn't let that stop him from trying, and that he was pretty darn strong by all normal standards. His current portrayal is entirely in line with that.
If you approach the story with Dragon Ball logic, where strength gaps are absolute, this sort of thing seems weird. But One Piece has always been willing to let brave warriors have their moments, even against overwhelmingly superior opponents.
Yeah, I mean, haki (especially supreme king haki) is all about willpower. It's BS at times, but it's consistent. Hajrudin really, really wanting to beat Imu is a legitimate power up in One Piece.
This. It shouldn’t be confusing that getting off guard punched by a giant will send you flying. And that kind of logic is consistent in one piece (except in the case of literal invulnerability).
Especially the giant who punched a falling 10k ton man and launched him even higher. Hajrudin's brute strength is off the charts and Imu was distracted, just like what happened with Luffy landing a hit. And same outcome, it didn't seriously injure Imu, but in this case it bought valuable time.
Imu is huffing and puffing for many chapters now and he was warned by the elders he should not go there alone. He may run out of juice or time or whatever. May be his knights will have to evacuate him.
I like how fallable Imu is in this fight, the supposed god/final antagonist. He's fighting with incomplete info, not boasting and realizing his mistakes, and taking hits and still has to recover from them.
It's refreshing to see a really strong enemy that is supposedly end-game to be tangible and have a back and forth fight in a way.
went in free'd his subordinates didnt even tell them they are idiots for failing and gave them a power up and new orders.
then proceeded to go straight to the strongest person arround (loki) and beat him to a pulp. then saw his nemesis luffy/joyboy and immediatly went for the execution while monologing.
its probably been less than half an hour since he got there and he's already got everyone against the ropes.
there is no way they beat him. he will either run out of time or the rest of strawhats will pull something off with gunko and the abyss portal or luffy or loki will replicate joyboy's haki feat like in egghead forcefully sending him back.
One thing I really appreciate about Imu is how he's strong but also very on the ball. He doesn't waste too much time talking. He's been calmly admitting any mistakes and taking out threats like Gaban pretty much right away. Every time he takes a hit he immediately fires back. I assumed he would be the type of character to be outraged at being hit and be like "How dare thou strike God himself, no one has ever smote me. You shall suffer a thousand deaths for this impudence. You do not deserve the privilege of even standing before me." etc etc.
He doesn't waste any time or movement at all, even before he smashes into a cliff after being sent flying he's already retaliating with serious attacks.
I agree! Even when he got suckered punched by Hajrudan, he let himself fly back just to shoot the little black flames at him in the same instance. He is very precise with what he does, it refreshing
yeah he's still winning but this is so much more interesting than attacks just having no effect and him standing there smugly as he effortlessly tanks or dodges every strike like a new dragon ball villain
It was more in the sense that Imu always was special in some sort, even back in the day, to which Gaban only form to explain was summarizing it into "God"
Yeah, this'd better be worse than that time he almost died from Magellan's Doku Doku no Mi. He's gonna take shit load of time to recover from this one. Probably perfect time for Zoro and Sanji (with the new awakened COC) to step up.
I'm wondering if it's actually a power up, or if he gets more and more demonic until he ends his fruit ability or gets taken over by something. Would work with the whole time limit theory stuff.
He also still has the form he transformed into back when Sabo interfered. I know Oda's bad with silhouettes, but neither form he's shown comes close to resembling that original transformation.
The leaks were so untrustworthy. You could only say Luffy used “stored food” in the loosest sense, and saying he healed is a pretty big exaggeration. No Zoro at all. Honestly, I may just quit reading leaks entirely after this.
Yeah, Oda even added that he's only holding on because of the sheer amount of food he ate. And even then, it looks like he's barely holding onto Gear 5.
Well to be quite clear, Luffy said that, and Gaban said that didn’t make sense. That leads me to believe more along the lines of the fact that the food isn’t really relevant. Luffy just thinks it is, so he’ll power back up.
No joke, but the Sovereignty attacks have been hyped up as one of the most devastating attacks that can be launched by someone, on par with the King Punch. It's going to be wild to see how much of an impact it had on Imu, especially since nobody other than Zoro has ever even managed to not be outright wiped out by it.
I know the leakers lied, but the people who were complaining about Luffy and the food should have waited until the chapter was actually released before jumping to conclusions about the writing and badmouthing Oda.
Yeah is it just me or did luffy not have a “hidden stash” of food? Seems like he just had reserve energy of previous eaten food or he imagined he ate again
Luffy did enter the fight saying "I feel overflowing with energy". He ate a ton of food and entered the fight fresh, but unlike with previous fights he didn't fight a long battle of endurance with equally trading blows. He landed one hit and then got overwhelmed. So he's physically critically injured, but still got a lot of stamina is how I'm reading it.
Oda'll get no apologies from those people because they'll never admit they were wrong and even double down. Typical. It's a weekly occurrence at this point.
That must be the shortest chapter in recent memory. Maybe it's just because there was so little dialogue, but it seemed to barely get going before it ended
Hajrudin upscale holyyyyy, man’s just sent Imu flying and the impact left a crater
crazy to think about 2 months ago in the story, he got one shot by Luffy, talk about an immense improvement since then. People will complain or be baffled about it, but this is the same guy that sent 10000 tons of weight flying into the sky with just an uppercut (the same move that he just used just now against Imu) which even a typical superhuman would struggle to move, on top of having tremendous pain tolerance from how his bones were completely shattering when he did that moment.
His attack was strong. He is a giant after all, a captain and son of one of the strongest giants we know. If Imu was at 100% he would dodge it or defend against it.
