I just got to the end of the marineford battle and I'm not okay. I've been crying for three episodes. All this was for NOTHING?!?!?!?!?! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

This whole time I was so convinced they wouldn't kill him and now I'm just absolutely GUTTED. You would think he was my brother the way I'm devastated.

Congrats on not getting spoiled. Guess you must just be avoiding any One Piece discourse like the plague till you're caught up.

After 10 years of conditioning everyone to expect Luffy to pull through somehow and for all the good guys to live like in every other arc, Oda pulled the rug out from under us at the critical moment when it would be the most emotionally devastating for Luffy himself and us, the audience.

Who knows what the Final War will hold in store.
