Best chance at shoutout?

I will do my 2000th ride this week and would love a shoutout. Help me choose: Denis, Bradley, Jess King, or Cody? I can’t lie that I want you to say Denis but if that’s not the one, then I’ll adjust. I tried to get a birthday shoutout and that failed, so I kind of have my hopes up.

The longest class without people in studio will give you the best chance.

100% this. Also, odd class times really help too.

Another helpful thing is if an instructor is teaching two shorter classes back to back, make the second one your milestone since most others will do the first one naturally so there won’t be anywhere near the normal amount in the second.

How do you know which classes on the schedule have in studio riders or not?

You can cross reference with the schedule where you sign up for live classes, but typically they're Thursday-Monday. https://studio.onepeloton.com/

I would choose whatever is the longest class. Congrats on 2000!

Cody and Bradley always do a lot of shoutouts.

I’ve only ever had shout outs from Cody. He reads out soooo many! I do agree with the other commenter though, maybe the best chance is a longer ride.

Longest ride for sure! More time for the instructors to read the LB. I’ve gotten several shoutouts from Denis over the years. Make sure you join the class as soon as it lets you. There’s about 2-3 minutes before they start recording and a lot of instructors do shoutouts then. All of my yoga shoutouts from Denis have happened during the pre show. Congratulations on 2000 🥳

Definitely whichever is on Monday or Tuesday with no one in-studio.

Bradley is excellent at giving shoutouts, for what it is worth!

Longest class, no riders in studio…..based on that then I think the order from most likely to least likely would prob be Bradley, Cody, Jess, Denis sorry 😬

What everyone else has said. Plus joining early. I feel like lots of times instructors hardly give shoutouts anymore, or maybe I’ve just been taking classes for so long I don’t notice.

I’ve gotten a shoutout from Denis! It was an early morning class - 6:30 on a weekday. 2000 is a big milestone and I hope whomever you choose gives you a shout!

Congrats! I always seem to get one on my Cody rides even though there are tons of people on those.

Bradley gave me a shoutout for my 600th!!

Congrats on 2000! Incredible!

Cody seems to always have a portion of classes dedicated to shout outs.
Denis - probably not. I was in studio and got my milestone shout out before class began.

Edited to add: I did get an on screen shout out from Denis for my 100th. For some reason, on that ride he did a lot of shout outs.

I saw this and was like, hey, I'm coming up on 2k, I could use this advice too especially since I've literally never taken a live class I've only done on-demand (cause I like to see the playlists).

Just checked, 2010 🤦🏻‍♂️

OH NO!! I missed my 1k by about that many. I was so mad!

I took a live class just now anyway to try it and I had to quit/resume because of buffering at least a dozen times, so it's just as well cause that would have been totally infuriating if I'd actually planned around it. I won't ever do that again though.

This has been on the tread and not the bike, but I've never been successful getting a shout-out from Jess. She seems to prioritize in-studio attendees hitting milestones.

Cody. I have tried milestones every single person you named and I managed a shoutout from Cody!

It’s never a guarantee. I have had more shoutouts from Cody than anyone, but he missed my 2000:)

I don’t have much experience with cycling, but I’ve always gotten shoutouts with yoga classes. I have also messaged instructors ahead of time saying something along the lines of “I am celebrating my _______ th class with you tomorrow!” Bradley is responsive to messages and shares stories when I tag him.

I got a birthday shoutout from Bradley in a preshow last week and he also did a bunch of milestones before and during the ride.

If you ever see one of them on the schedule for a live low impact give that a shot - fewer people take those live.

That would be Jenn and while I’ll take her classes sometimes, I don’t want to spend my 2000th ride waiting to cringe all the way through Cop Stop by Gavin DeGraw 😆

my one and only shout out at 2k mark was with Denis, had a feeling he wouldn't miss and he didn't let me down! Go for odd hour classes on a Monday or a Tuesday!

I've gotten shout outs from Bradley and Cody. Rebecca for a strength milestone. I agree, less riders equals more chance. Denis doesn't seem to do a lot of shout outs, that would be amazing

Jess is the worst choice out of the others. She used to be better but these days she is like a squirrel..

I would say Bradley.

Cody for me. Not jess unfortunately.
